I am so proud to be Canadian. Thank you Father for creating Canada, the land north and free! Thank You for providing so many natural resources! How well provided we are.
Steven Harper is Canada's president and I am so proud of him for standing up for Israel. Way to go! For those of you who don't know much about Canada here is a Wikipedia site this should give you a good idea about your neighbour to the north. :)
Genesis 27:28-29 NIV
May God give you heaven’s dew
and earth’s richness—
an abundance of grain and new wine.
May nations serve you
and peoples bow down to you.
Be lord over your brothers,
and may the sons of your mother bow down to you.
May those who curse you be cursed
and those who bless you be blessed.”

May nations serve you
and peoples bow down to you.
Be lord over your brothers,
and may the sons of your mother bow down to you.
May those who curse you be cursed
and those who bless you be blessed.”

Deuteronomy 28:11-13 NIV
The LORD will grant you abundant prosperity—in the fruit of your womb, the young of your livestock and the crops of your ground—in the land he swore to your ancestors to give you.
The LORD will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none. The LORD will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the LORD your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom.
Let's always remember to pray for our nation and the nation of Israel, for God has promised those who bless my people I will bless.
Romans 10:1 NIV
Brothers and sisters, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for the Israelites is that they may be saved.
Blessings,

I pray for Israel, too! I so long for them to see the truth of their Messiah!!! And yeah, I'm so proud of Canada's president, standing up for Israel!!! Awesome! I'm not even Canadian and I'm proud of him.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know it was Canada day. This Monday is America's Independence Day. Is it similar?
Happy Canada Day! Sending many hugs and much love! May you have a wonderful weekend! God bless you!
ReplyDeleteHappy Canada Day to you! I LOVE Canada! I've been to Canada many times, going from BC all the way to Ontario at least 3 times. I've also been to the Maritimes, including PEI and even Newfoundland. So I've been to all 10 provinces, but none of the territories. I'd love to go to Yellowknife someday.
ReplyDeleteI have very fond memories of Canada, such as: Tim Hortins, Lay's All Dressed Chips, vinegar packets with my fries at McDonalds, Saskatoon berry pie, seeing Lake Louise and crossing the Canadian Rockies (beautiful!!! I think that was my favorite part!), taking the ferry to Newfoundland, seeing an iceberg off the coast in Newfoundland and being at the easternmost point on the North American Continent, seeing the Anne of Green Gables house on PEI, and lets not forget, the lovely, beautiful, blessed people. It is a wonderful country and I hope I can go back some day! How did you guys celebrate today?
Hi Emily,
ReplyDeleteCanada Day is the celebration of the 1867 enactment of the British North America Act which united three British colonies into a single country; Canada so it is simular to America's Independence Day
Hi Sara,
Thank you for the hugs and love! :) Much needed!
Isn't it wonderful that our two countries celebrate such a wonderful freedom act so close together?
Blessings,
<><
Hi Kimberly,
ReplyDeleteWOW!! You have been all over Canada. I have never been to Newfoundland, I hear it is beautiful! My dream is to run across Canada, maybe one day I will. :)
My favourite province is BC as well, so very pretty. AND Tim Horton's is a must have every morning, I buy it in the big tins and am a bit miserable if I run out. I even brought a couple of tins with me when I went to China.
We were very busy haying. So there was no celebration today, but hopefully we will be able to set off some fireworks this weekend.
Blessings sister,

Woo hoo ! Happy Canada Day !!! How blessed you are to be a Canadian and live in beautiful, lovely, awesomely vast, and simply breath-taking Canada. God bless Canada!
ReplyDeleteHi Vilisi,
ReplyDeleteI was just getting ready to shut it down for the night and saw your comment come in.
You sure do know how beautiful BC is and the native people. Thanks for the visit and the blessing for Canada.
Hugs,

I too pray for Israel, that they come to faith in Jesus. That is cool your president is standing up for Israel.
ReplyDeleteI will be praying for Canada, and please pray for the USA too. I think the whole world needs a lot of prayer right now too...
I hope you had a wonderful Canada Day and God bless.
Ken
Happy Canada Day and Happy 4th of July. May God have mercy on both our countries!
ReplyDelete~Ron
Hi Ken,
ReplyDeleteThank you for praying for Canada! I always pray for the USA! I pray that God will give President Obama good Christian advisers and I pray that he makes the right decisions that will glorify God.
Hi Ron,
Happy 4th of July to you! I pray God will have mercy on both of our countries too.
God bless you brothers,
<><
Dear Child of God, What joy this blog was to read! The most wonderful tribute to God and the country you live in. Oh, and how good is Canada's President standing up for Israel.
ReplyDeleteMy son last year in year two, had to do a country project. He chose Canada, we now know so much about this beautiful country. If you would like to have a look at his project - I did post a few blogs on it. Just click on my archives for August 2010. His teacher wrote a letter, saying it was the best project she had ever had the pleasure of marking in her 15 year career. That was a wonderful boost of confidence and encouragement for my son. Praise God.
So, now our family WISH so much that we would be able to come to Canada.
I hope you had a wonderful day, and have a super weekend!
Love and Blessings, Kerrie. xOx
Happy Canada day, Child of God! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Kerri,
ReplyDeleteThank you! I will check out your son's report. What a wonderful compliment from your son's teacher! Best project in 20 years, amazing. Canada is such a pretty country and I sure do hope you and your family can make it up here to visit one day.
I would love to visit Australia one day. The land down under sounds like a great place to be.
Hi Kaboom,
Thank you for the Canada Day wishes.
Blessings,

My friend, Child of God, Hi. The nicest people I've ever met have been Canadians. I very nearly left South Africa to go live in your country a while back, I even learned French, but never got the chance to use it. Hmm. Have a fantastic Canada day. God bless, Geoff.
ReplyDeleteDear one thank you for sharing on Canada. Love the train picture. Blessings.
ReplyDeleteHi Geoff,
ReplyDeleteWe have a lot of South African doctors around here. Maybe one day you be able to go to eastern Canada and use your french. There are not a lot of french speaking people here in the west.
Hi JBR,
My son took the picture of the train, while traveling through the mountains with his dad.
Thanks for the Canada Day wishes!!

Happy belated, Child of God! Some of my favorite people live in Canada :) It is truly beautiful, and not as crowded as the U.S. is. You guys are so polite! And your English is much better than ours is, lol.
ReplyDeleteYay Canada!!!
Hi Susan,
ReplyDeleteThank you!
Canada is truly a beautiful country, wild and free. The northern parts are still pretty empty as it can be very cold there. :) Saying that, my niece lives in the North West Territories and totally loves it there. She claims if you dress properly during the winter, which you can do now with all the new fabrics for winter safety, you can still do a lot of outdoor activities.
Blessings,
<><
