2012 Here We Come!

Wow, can you believe it? Another year has passed and we are about to be propelled into 2012.

I hope and pray this year will be filled with Jesus and He will straighten your path and make it smooth for your travel as you grow closer to Him with every footstep.

Live each and everyday with your eyes on Him knowing He will be returning soon to bring home His church.

I pray this Irish Blessing for the new year.

May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

 Revelation 21:3-5 NIV

And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”

God bless you my internet friends!

Merry Christmas & Update

Google Image
A belated Merry Christmas to all!! I have been out of town visiting family and did not have internet access and blogging on my phone, well that just doesn't work with me. I hope you all had an amazing Christmas time celebrating the birth of our Savior.

I have an update on Wayne. The news is as follows...

The news we received today was not as we had hoped.  During the biopsy the doctors found that the cancer has spread into the lymph nodes and has spread throughout the lymphatic system.  It has now been designated as a Stage 3B cancer.  Because of this, they did not proceed with the surgery to remove the mass.  With this news, we will now move to a Plan B.   We will be meeting with the medical oncologist and will begin a regiment of chemo and radiation.

We continue to glorify God through it all and know that this is not a surprise to Him.  We don't know the reasons, the whys, or the hows.  We know that we are right in the  middle of His plan.  We pray for God to be glorified through all of this and know that He is still in the business of making miracles, and is the Great Physician.

We covet your continued prayers for what lies ahead.

Please continue to pray for Wayne as he continues into this next stage on this journey.

Matthew 11:28-30 NIV

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

Blessings,

Giggle With Goats

This is really cute! Enjoy!!

Psalm 126:1-3 NIV
When the LORD restored the fortunes of Zion,
we were like those who dreamed.
Our mouths were filled with laughter,
our tongues with songs of joy.
Then it was said among the nations,
“The LORD has done great things for them.”
The LORD has done great things for us,
and we are filled with joy.

Laughter is good for the heart, soul and mind. Thank you Father for goats!!

Please remember to pray for Summer and Wayne. Thanks!!

God Bless,

Another Miracle!!

Ansley
Ansley had her Pet scans this morning and they came back, NED!! No Evidence of Disease!! Praise our awesome GOD!

Thank you Jesus!!

Below is directly from Ansley's blog, Praying for Ansley...

We just got the news that Ansley's PET/CT scans this morning were totally clear - no signs of cancer! We have taken lots of pictures this year, but those may be the most beautiful ones that Amy and I have seen in a while! We are so thankful to everyone at MUSC for such wonderful care, and we give thanks to God for this wonderful news! They will be done with her bone marrow biopsy soon and the final results of that will take a few days. But for now, everything looks beautiful! Thanks for praying!

Also, as we receive this news, we know that there are families right now where we were at a year ago this time. Please pray for them as they begin a long journey.

What a wonderful Christmas gift this is! Two miracles in one week.

Please press in with me for Summer and Wayne. Summer is so ill right now and just waiting to have her medicine but there is such a hassle with the nursing care that should be coming to her home to minister the medicine. The whole ordeal is a mess and Summer really needs our prayers.

Wayne is to have pre-op tests on December 23, pray the cancer is gone and surgery does not need to be done.

Jesus, You are the best and I thank you for healing sweet Ansley. Praise Your Name always and always. Lord God, please touch Summer and Wayne. Remove this illness that is afflicting them and heal them just like you have healed Ansley and Katie. You are God. You are Healer. You, we bow down and and ask for these illnesses to bow down to Your Mighty Name. In the Name of Jesus Christ I ask and pray. Amen.

Psalm 35:27-28 NIV
May those who delight in my vindication
   shout for joy and gladness;
may they always say, “The LORD be exalted,
who delights in the well-being of his servant.”
My tongue will proclaim your righteousness,
   your praises all day long.

Psalm 48:9-10 NIV
Within your temple, O God,
we meditate on your unfailing love.
Like your name, O God,
   your praise reaches to the ends of the earth;
your right hand is filled with righteousness.

Ezekiel 3:1-3

My Freshly Brewed Life
Today I am linking up with Barbie from My Freshly Brewed Life, where we are just going to share a scripture with a simple reflection. Feel like joining?

Ezekiel 3:1-3 NIV
And he said to me, “Son of man, eat what is before you, eat this scroll; then go and speak to the people of Israel.” So I opened my mouth, and he gave me the scroll to eat.
Then he said to me, “Son of man, eat this scroll I am giving you and fill your stomach with it.” So I ate it, and it tasted as sweet as honey in my mouth.

I love prophecy and Ezekiel is chalk full of it. :) When I read these verses I think of many prophetic pictures but what is sticking out to me now is how very sweet God's word is. Have you had honey right from the beehive? It is totally different than store bought honey. It is very flavorful, rich and also very nutritious for you as well. God's word is sweet and will fill you up and nourish your spirit.

Google Image
The instructions given here for Ezekiel are to eat the words God is giving him, fill up his stomach and then go to the people and speak. Just as food nourishes and strengthens us and allows our body to keep living, God's word will strengthen and grow our spirit so we can do God's work. Spreading the good news about Jesus Christ is the number one job of Christians and when we are full and well nourished on God's sweet words the good news about Jesus will come out in our every day conversations.

Have an awesome Sunday,

Miracle!

Google Image
Our mighty God has healed Katie! Praise His Name always! NED! No evidence of disease. Isn't that amazing? Below is taken directly from Katie's blog Praying for Katie.

We will post more details soon, but for now we wanted to let everyone know that Katie had a PET scan done on Tuesday that detects any cancer left in her body and it came back with no cancer found!  By His stripes Katie has been healed!!  In addition to that, remember the wound vac she had on her chest?  That also came off about a week ago and what the doctors originally said would take four months to heal was declared healed after one month...AMAZING!  The doctors gave her a certificate that said "you are declared healed"...they're prophetic and maybe didn't even know it.  We have so much to be thankful for and are rejoicing in His faithfulness and how great a God we serve.
The journey isn't over yet, but this is a huge step in the right direction.  We love you all and will keep you posted shortly.

WOW!

Thank You GOD!

1 Corinthians 15:56-58  NIV

The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 NIV
Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

Rejoicing and praising GOD!

Udate: Wayne

Chelle from Chelle's blog, sent me an update on Wayne. Check out this really cool news...

Google Image
~Wayne had the brain scan and the cancer has NOT spread to the brain. Praise GOD! He also had the pulmonary function test and from every indication that is good also! He will have his pre-op tests on 12/23 and the surgery on 12/27. I'm all for GOD completely healing Wayne and on 12/23 they just say...What cancer??!!!

I want to thank each of you for praying. So far all is turning out good. Wayne and Marge are confident that GOD is in complete control!

I will keep you posted as things happen.

Blessings...Chelle

So, let's all press in interceding for NED (No Evidence of Disease). Pray that the pre-op tests on December 23rd will come back with doctors saying in bewilderment, "The cancer is gone!"

Luke 11:9-10 NIV

“So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened."

Praying and praying for NED.

Mary, Mother of Jesus

Luke 1:26-38 NIV
Google Image
In the sixth month of Elizabeth’s pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin’s name was Mary. The angel went to her and said, “Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you.”
Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be. But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over Jacob’s descendants forever; his kingdom will never end.”
“How will this be,” Mary asked the angel, “since I am a virgin?”
The angel answered, “The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God. Even Elizabeth your relative is going to have a child in her old age, and she who was said to be unable to conceive is in her sixth month. For no word from God will ever fail.”
“I am the Lord’s servant,” Mary answered. “May your word to me be fulfilled.” Then the angel left her.

How obedient May was! I don't believe I would have the courage she had to agree with what God was asking of her. An engaged teenager of around 14 or 15 years old becoming pregnant by Holy intervention? I wonder how many people really believed her. How her family, relatives and friends must have shunned her. The shame of the label, 'whore' probably walked with her throughout her whole life. I wonder if even after Joseph accepted that the pregnancy was the work of God Himself, did he question and doubt.

Mary loved God more than life itself because the punishment of adultery was death by stoning, yet even knowing this shame that she would have to bare, she agreed by saying, "I am the Lord's servant, may your word to me be fulfilled."

I love how Mary's reaction to Gabriel's  words were not fear but wonder. She never missed a beat but accepted even before she knew the 'how'.

I would love to obey God like this without skipping a beat saying yes Lord, Your word be done in me.

I also wonder if Mary knew what her baby boy, Jesus, would go through. Mary, did you know?

Warning: Graphic Pictures in Video

John 3:16-17 NIV
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

Prayer Request

Google Image
Chelle from Chelle's Blog sent me a prayer request for a friend of hers named Wayne. Below is directly from her email.

He found out he has lung cancer in the lower lobe of the right lung. Here is an update his wife Marge sent me on Friday.

We met with the doctor this morning, based on what what he can see the cancer has not invaded the chest wall and the only "activity" (shows orange on the screen that we saw) appears to be in the mass in the lower lobe.  There are two lymph nodes that are questionable.  The doctor believes for what we can see this is a stage I cancer.  If the cancer has spread to the lymph nodes it would be stage II.
On Tuesday Wayne is scheduled to have a brain MRI, if that is clear he will have surgery on Dec. 27th.  The first procedure will be to get a piece of the lymph node send it to pathology to be sure that it has not spread, after that he would remove the lower lobe. With no complications Wayne should be out of the hospital in 4 - 5 days.  Hallelujah!!

Wanted to ask you if you would pray that all goes well with the rest of the tests and that the cancer is only in the lower lobe. They both have amazing faith in God and said they will continue to praise him no matter what!
Marge told me that they are expecting God to do "a miracle that will be heard around the world" because of all the Christian bloggers who are praying!

When the family of believers gather together in prayer either via internet or in real life, God hears and answers our prayer. I am so honoured to know that there are many here who will pray for those who are sick or find themselves in a poor spot. I just want to thank you all for praying for these people that God has brought into my path. We sure do have an amazing family in Christ Jesus and I am so happy to be a part of it. :)

1 Kings 8:28-30

Yet give attention to your servant’s prayer and his plea for mercy, LORD my God. Hear the cry and the prayer that your servant is praying in your presence this day. May your eyes be open toward this temple night and day, this place of which you said, ‘My Name shall be there,’ so that you will hear the prayer your servant prays toward this place. Hear the supplication of your servant and of your people Israel when they pray toward this place. Hear from heaven, your dwelling place, and when you hear, forgive.

Blessings,

As For Me and My House

'As For Me and My House' ~John Waller

Joshua 24:14-15 NIV

“Now fear the LORD and serve him with all faithfulness. Throw away the gods your ancestors worshiped beyond the Euphrates River and in Egypt, and serve the LORD. But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.”

Matthew 21:12-13

Jesus entered the temple courts and drove out all who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves. “It is written,” he said to them, “‘My house will be called a house of prayer,’ but you are making it ‘a den of robbers.’”

John 14:1-4

“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going.”

Who will you serve? The gods of life or the God of all?

Our God Reigns Here

'Our God Reigns Here' ~John Waller

Isaiah 52:6-8 NIV
Therefore my people will know my name;
therefore in that day they will know
that it is I who foretold it.
   Yes, it is I.”
 How beautiful on the mountains
are the feet of those who bring good news,
who proclaim peace,
   who bring good tidings,
   who proclaim salvation,
who say to Zion,
   “Your God reigns!”
Listen! Your watchmen lift up their voices;
   together they shout for joy.
When the LORD returns to Zion,
they will see it with their own eyes.

Revelation 19:5-7 NIV
Then a voice came from the throne, saying:
   “Praise our God,
   all you his servants,
you who fear him,
   both great and small!”
Then I heard what sounded like a great multitude, like the roar of rushing waters and like loud peals of thunder, shouting:
   “Hallelujah!
For our Lord God Almighty reigns.
Let us rejoice and be glad
   and give him glory!
For the wedding of the Lamb has come,
and his bride has made herself ready.

Our GOD REIGNS!! Don't ever forget that! :)

One Step at a Time

Luke 22:31-32 NIV
Google Image

“Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift all of you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.”

How many times has Satan asked to sift me, to sift you my friend. :s This little verse makes my stomach turn sour. This is something Satan does to us, he gets permission from God to put us through the ringer. O how thankful I am that we have Jesus interceding for us, praying that our faith in Him would not fail.

Failure in our walk with Jesus is a given, it is going to happen at one time or another but this doesn't have to be the defining of our characteristic walk with Jesus. With Peter's intense, thorough repentance and the help of the Holy Spirit interceding on his behalf, he was able to be used tremendously by the Lord. We must never consign ourselves or anyone else to the pit for letting our Lord down. Our God is gracious and compassionate in forgiving us totally if we are truly repentant. God will also use our failures to better equip us to serving others in the family of Christ.

John 21:15-19 NIV

When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon son of John, do you love me more than these?”
“Yes, Lord,” he said, “you know that I love you.”
   Jesus said, “Feed my lambs.”
Again Jesus said, “Simon son of John, do you love me?”
He answered, “Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.”
Jesus said, “Take care of my sheep.”
The third time he said to him, “Simon son of John, do you love me?”
Peter was hurt because Jesus asked him the third time, “Do you love me?” He said, “Lord, you know all things; you know that I love you.”
Jesus said, “Feed my sheep. Very truly I tell you, when you were younger you dressed yourself and went where you wanted; but when you are old you will stretch out your hands, and someone else will dress you and lead you where you do not want to go.” Jesus said this to indicate the kind of death by which Peter would glorify God. Then he said to him, “Follow me!”

Just look at how Jesus forgave Peter. He forgave him fully 3 times for each time Peter denied Jesus. Jesus reinstated Peter back into the family and gave him jobs to do and commanded him to "Follow Me!"

Jesus forgives us in the very same way, fully. But, we must be fully repentant and willing to change our ways and serve Him completely.

Google Image
I have failed my Lord many times but I know He forgives me and is working in my heart leading and guiding me. I also know that I will fail Him again for the closer I walk with Jesus desiring His ways, the more Satan is going to attack me and want to sift me. Praise God the Holy Spirit is always interceding on our behalf.

Please continue to lift Beth and Ryan up to God during this painful time in their life. Ask God to come in and overwhelm them with His love and peace.

Following Jesus one step at a time.

Keegan Chupp

Keegan Chupp

Please visit here to read Keegan's obituary. What a sweet boy Keegan is and I am going to miss him so much. Funny how even though I have never met him, my heart has become deeply attached to him. All the time praying and fasting for Keegan and others has bonded me to them in a very special, spiritual way.

Please pray for Beth and Ryan during this very tough and trying time. Lift them up to the Lord and ask for peace and for His presence to be with them comforting and easing their very deep pain.

Psalm 34:18 NIV
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

Psalm 46:1-2 NIV
God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea.

Revelation 21:4 NIV
He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."

Praying and praying,

Pray for Keegan

Beth's blog link
UPDATE: Keegan has gone home to be with Jesus. Please pray for his family during this very difficult time. :'(
A notice has just come in requesting prayer for Keegan, Beth and Ryan. Please lift them up to our Lord during this time. When I have more information I will put up another post

Romans 8:26-27 NIV
In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.

Courageous

'Courageous', Casting Crowns.

"Courageous"

We were made to be courageous
We were made to lead the way
We could be the generation
That finally breaks the chains
We were made to be courageous
We were made to be courageous

We were warriors on the front lines
Standing, unafraid
But now we're watchers on the sidelines
While our families slip away

Where are you, men of courage?
You were made for so much more
Let the pounding of our hearts cry
We will serve the Lord

We were made to be courageous
And we're taking back the fight
We were made to be courageous
And it starts with us tonight

The only way we'll ever stand
Is on our knees with lifted hands

Make us courageous
Lord, make us courageous

This is our resolution
Our answer to the call
We will love our wives and children
We refuse to let them fall

We will reignite the passion
That we buried deep inside
May the watchers become warriors
Let the men of God arise

We were made to be courageous
And we're taking back the fight
We were made to be courageous
And it starts with us tonight

The only way we'll ever stand
Is on our knees with lifted hands
Make us courageous
Lord, make us courageous

Seek justice
Love mercy
Walk humbly with your God

In the war of the mind
I will make my stand
In the battle of the heart
And the battle of the hand

In the war of the mind
I will make my stand
In the battle of the heart
And the battle of the hand

We were made to be courageous
And we're taking back the fight
We were made to be courageous
And it starts with us tonight

The only way we'll ever stand
Is on our knees with lifted hands
Make us courageous
Lord, make us courageous

We were made to be courageous
Lord, make us courageous

Joshua 10:25 NIV
Joshua said to them, "Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Be strong and courageous. This is what the LORD will do to all the enemies you are going to fight."

This song speaks volumes and ministers to me. I have underlined and marked in red the words in this song that jump out at me, the ones that I am taking to heart. Maybe they speak to you too. Our opposition is Satan and he knows how to attack us, every single one of us. The only way to fight him is on our knees in prayer and acting out what the Word of God tells us to do. This is the only way we can become 'over comers'. It is one thing to know the Word of God it is another to do what He tells us to do. How else will we ever stop doing wrong and watching our lives go down the wrong pathway? So many of us complain about how horrible our lives are but if only we would just do what God says to do, renew our mind and focus on the things that please and honour God doing what He tells us to do, then we would see the fruit of the Spirit, joy, peace, happiness and so on being played out in our lives. It is a very simple thing to do, but so difficult as Satan knows how to trip us up and we are so foolish that we fall for his tricks often.

1 Peter 3:14 NIV
But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. "Do not fear what they fear ; do not be frightened."

Blessings,

Watchmen of the Lord

Google Image
Psalm 130 NIV
 Out of the depths I cry to you, LORD;
Lord, hear my voice.
Let your ears be attentive
   to my cry for mercy.
If you, LORD, kept a record of sins,
   Lord, who could stand?
But with you there is forgiveness,
so that we can, with reverence, serve you.
I wait for the LORD, my whole being waits,
and in his word I put my hope.
I wait for the Lord
more than watchmen wait for the morning,
more than watchmen wait for the morning.
Israel, put your hope in the LORD,
for with the LORD is unfailing love
and with him is full redemption.
He himself will redeem Israel
   from all their sins.

Blessings,
