Good Morning; just a little note

Grosbeaks
1 Thessalonians 5:10-11 NIV

He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with him. Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.

I was wondering if anyone was interested in supporting my friend who has just started a blog. She is a prolific writer and this blog For Christ Alone, looks like it could be very interesting and informative.

Well, our weather has turned around and it looks like it will start warming up soon. The sun has been shining and the blossoms are really starting to show everywhere! The birds are singing and tweeting and the bird feeders need to be filled every day and soon I can see filling them twice daily!

I want to thank everyone for praying for all of these sweet people God has placed on my heart. God bless you all!

Apple Blossoms

Hebrews 3:12-14 NIV

See to it, brothers and sisters, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God. But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called “Today,” so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness. We have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original conviction firmly to the very end.

Sanctus Real--Lead Me

Psalm 143:9-11 NIV
Rescue me from my enemies, LORD,
for I hide myself in you.
Teach me to do your will,
   for you are my God;
may your good Spirit
   lead me on level ground.
For your name’s sake, LORD, preserve my life;
in your righteousness, bring me out of trouble.

Blessings,

Addison Jo

Google Image
Sweet Addison Jo is resting in the arms of Jesus. She went home to be with Jesus Friday May 27 2011.

John 5:24-25 NIV

“Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life.  Very truly I tell you, a time is coming and has now come when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and those who hear will live.

Jesus,
Brother, thank you for creating Addison Jo. Lord, You know this is a time of deep sorrow for her mom and dad. Please be with them right now, let Your presence surround them and comfort them. Give them peace and ease their broken hearts. You did not promise a life of no sorrow, but You did promise eternal life of rejoicing and pleasure for those who belong to You. Thank you for being our God and allowing a way for us to be with You in glory. Praise Your Name. Thank You Jesus. In Your Holy precious name I pray, amen.

Please pray for Addison Jo`s family, thank you.

Streams Ministries International; prayer

Below is an e-letter by John Paul Jackson from Streams Ministries International talking on the importance of prayer. He explains prayer in a way that really makes sense and opens many doors into the understanding of why we are to pray without ceasing. I hope you all enjoy this as much as I did.

Prayer Changes Everything

May 2011
by John Paul Jackson

My relationship with God changed dramatically in 1978. That was the year I started praying every day. I did so because my marriage was in trouble, my little business was in trouble, my job at a major corporation was in trouble and everything was going downhill.
You know what? I thought. If I'm going to get fired, I might as well get fired because I'm a raving Christian and not because I’m being a bum, like they think I am. So I started praying — not because I was passionate about prayer but because I really, really wanted to keep my head above water!

It is time to pray
Prayer is so important. If you have read my partner letters or heard me speak recently, you know that I am concerned for the well-being of the United States. For three years, I have prophesied a “perfect storm” of dramatic events that will affect every nation on Earth. We have already seen many of these events take place, and unfortunately, this storm is far from over.
Some of you have felt the effects of this storm, and others of you, by God’s grace, have not. But no matter the current state of your circumstances, I urge you to pray. Don’t wait until you have to pray, as I did. Don’t put off strengthening your dependency on God until your life is going downhill and you are desperate. Now is the time.

God the All-Sufficient One
Something substantial happens in the spiritual realm when we acknowledge God as the All-Sufficient One who is capable of taking care of our every need. When we pray, we promote the spirit and make the mind subservient to the spirit. In other words, prayer helps us come into proper alignment.
God is Spirit, and He is our Father. We can’t take a single breath without Him (Psalm 104:29), and everything we have comes from Him (1 Chronicles 29:14). As we begin to truly understand this, our prayer lives will transform radically because we will realize our dependence on Him. We pray in the Spirit on all occasions, with all kinds of prayers and requests (Ephesians 6:18). We cast our cares upon Him, because He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7).
Most of us have a head knowledge of these truths, but we are still caught off guard when we realize that our Father genuinely does intend us to live care-free lives. He is the All-Sufficient One, and we are the ones He is all sufficient for.

God our Father
As God’s children, we have the full, legitimate right to speak to Him as our Father, to make “all kinds” of requests. If we don't personalize prayer, we won’t get very far. After a while, we will just give up because we won't have the passion for it. It is very difficult to delight in something we don't long for. It is very difficult to desire something that doesn’t seem splendorous to us. We have to personalize prayer in order to have the passion.
When we call upon His name and we understand the position that He has in our lives, our faith will increase, as well as our understanding that whatever we ask of Him, He will do. We can be confident of that: “This is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us” (1 John 5:14).
However, the reverse of that is also true. We will not see God answering prayer if we do not pray.
So I want to urge each of you to pray. It is time to pull out the stops and become passionate about prayer. Speak to God on behalf of your people. Speak to God on behalf of the world. What burden has He put on your heart? Take it seriously, and pour it out in prayer before Him, remembering always that He is your Father and your words do not fall on deaf ears.

One More Prayer Request

Google Image
Summer, my sweet blogger friend is heading into the the hospital today and might have to stay. :( Please pray for her that she doesn't have to stay in the hospital and her doctors will know how to treat her. This disease is running wild and needs to get under control.

Her appointment is 2pm, eastern standard time. So if you remember please pray for Summer.

Thank you!!

1 Timothy 2:1-3 NIV

I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people—for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior,

Prayer Request

Rachel, from Finding Joy, has asked for prayer for Samuel today Thursday May 26. Back in, I think it was January, Samuel was very sick and was diagnosed with Celiac Disease. He has been recovering well and is having a biopsy today to see how his intestines are doing. Please pray everything goes well and Rachel feels the presence of Jesus. Here is the specific requests from Rachel.

Specific Prayer Requests
...calm heart for Samuel. He was nervous and scared yesterday at the doctor's office
...that Samuel can deal with  having no food till almost 2pm.
...during the procedure {12noon -1pm}
...steady hand for the surgeon
...that Samuel does not develop croup afterwards
...for kind and caring staff
...that the biopsy sample sites are taken in the right spots {they'll be taken throughout the intestinal tract}
...complete healing
...strength for me - specifically when I go back to the operating room while they put him asleep
...wisdom for the anesthesiologist
...that I can feel the Lord's presence throughout the day.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

Philippians 4:5-7 NIV

Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

A Matter of the Heart

Matthew 7:21-23 NIV

Google Image
“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’

This is a tough word to take in and digest. Just yesterday during pre-church prayer time the Holy Spirit laid this prayer on my heart and a river of tears pour out from me causing everyone in the room to cry, not because of me but, I believe, because of the grieving from the Holy Spirit. How many people claim Jesus as Lord yet they really do not know Him. How many Christians are fooling themselves? One thing for sure and that is you cannot fool the Holy Spirit for He knows the essence of our heart and what motivates the drive within us.

All people have some sort of values they follow, but do they line up with God's values? Just take a look at the 10 commandments and what God cares about to know what His values are. As society changes the common values change also. We as Christians are to focus ourselves on putting God first and loving our neighbour, treating others the way we want to be treated. How many Christians actually do this? I know many people who claim Christianity yet they are sleeping around or living together with the opposite, or same sex in a marriage situation saying it is fine. Or what about the Christian business man who adjust the numbers on his income tax, is this right? Or the employee who takes from the employer saying he can do this because the company has lots and they deserve it. Is this not considered stealing? Sad, but I know of people who do this and they call themselves Christians. Oh how this grieves the Holy Spirit.

Our time here on earth is short and I believe Jesus will be returning soon to claim His church, do you believe you will be raptured along with His church? Or will you be left behind for the tribulation? Do you believe the people from the situations mentioned above will be rapture, or left behind? Obama is pushing the peace talks between Israel and Palestine. Could this be the signed peace treaty that the Bible talks about? If so, then it won't be long before Jesus returns. Will you be ready?

1 Thessalonians 5:1-3 NIV

Now, brothers and sisters, about times and dates we do not need to write to you, for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. While people are saying, “Peace and safety,” destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.

Google Image
Now concerning a pre-trib rapture to a post-trib rapture, the Bible does not say directly what will happen, but I personally believe in pre-trib rapture for I believe God does not want to punish His church but those who refuse to honour Him. How, as Christians, do we honour Him? Know God and care about what He cares about and live by His rules. Feed the orphans, look after the widows, love your neighbour. When someone has angered you, forgive them and turn the other cheek. Walk an extra mile to help someone out and become a servant, a servant of the Lord Jesus Christ. Stay away from immorality, adultery homosexuality, debauchery and such.  When you sin seek forgiveness first from God then from the person you offended. God's rules are simple and easy to follow, repent and love.

Look at King David, he messed up a ton. He committed adultery, murder and took a census when he was told not to, showing that he didn't trust God's strength. Yet he was called a man after God's own heart. Why? Because when he did wrong he repented and took his sin to God for forgiveness and willingly took the punishment for the wrong he did. He lived in an active relationship with God. David is a very good example for us to follow.

Now what if you are not a Christian? Ask Jesus to be the Lord and Saviour of your life. Repent of your sins and ask the Holy Spirit to live inside of you and start living for Jesus. It really is not hard but we first need acknowledgement of the fact that no we are not good people we are sinners, every single one of us. The Google image that I have put up is one of the Tsunami that took place in Japan this past March. This will be nothing compared to what the tribulation will be like, believe me you don't want to be around for it. So please, Christians and non-Christians make yourself right with God soon. Make sure you have an active relationship with Jesus for there is no other way but through Jesus, that one can be saved from the devastation that will be coming to this earth.

Jesus First

Matthew 6:33 NKJV

Google
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Jesus tells us to seek God's kingdom first, but we tend to think about ourselves first; what we will eat, wear or where we will live and how do we make money, then we usually think about God and His kingdom. Jesus puts things in reverse order here saying to seek God first and everything else falls into place. I don't know about you but this can be really hard. It is like living with no physical reassurance that He will fulfill His promise, until we actually start seeing miracles happen we tend to worry.

Now, we don't want to become fools and not care, think or work for these things that we need of course not! :) But we are to get our priorities straight and put God and His domain first.

Proverbs 14:23-24 NIV

All hard work brings a profit,
but mere talk leads only to poverty.
The wealth of the wise is their crown,
but the folly of fools yields folly.

Here in Proverbs we see that that it is right to work hard. The product of our hard work brings wealth. We need to think about money and food but we are not to make this our focus or worry about it. God should be our focus and be concerned about His heart. When we care more about the kingdom of God then ourselves then He will provide for our needs. Does this mean a fancy home and rich foods? No, but it does mean that we will have enough to eat, clothes on our back and a dry place to live. Keeping up with the Jones' is not part of God's plan for us.

North American's are spoiled, we have the good life, but really is it good without God as number one? Physical comforts do not make for a happy heart, only God can do that. Too many people are seeking the good life. I challenge you, seek God first and I guarantee you will be happier than you ever have been. Why? Because we were created to worship Him and if we don't we are empty, missing something. We start worshiping created things but these things are not alive and cannot give us what we need; love from the Father.
Blessings,

A Few Animal Pictures

Here are a few more pics of the babies. Yesterday I went and took 500 pictures of our farm and wanted to share some today, but the battery charger for the camera is broken and I cannot download the pics onto my computer, so I decided to dig up a few from the winter and share.

Beauty

 Genesis 1:24-25 NIV

And God said, “Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: the livestock, the creatures that move along the ground, and the wild animals, each according to its kind.” And it was so. God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.

Genesis 2:19-20 NIV

Now the LORD God had formed out of the ground all the wild animals and all the birds in the sky. He brought them to the man to see what he would name them; and whatever the man called each living creature, that was its name. So the man gave names to all the livestock, the birds in the sky and all the wild animals.

I am so thankful that God created animals! I love them so much. The amount of joy they bring far outweighs the amount of work that comes along with them. All animals have healing capabilities; anger diminishes when the sound of a purring cat, the brush of soft silky fur and the warmth of a small bundle curls up on your lap or how hatred flees when you are greeted by the wagging of a tail and eager paws shifting to and fro in the anticipation of a scratch behind the ears. What about how jealousy will lose it's grasp on you when you take a brush and run it down the neck of a horse and see this huge animal warm up to your touch and look forward to the next stroke, and knowing that you will soon jump on the back of this animal and he will allow you to work with him in an enjoyable ride; that is accomplishment. How can jealously stay when you are able to work with an animal?

God sure knew what He was doing when He created animals. They may not be the perfect help mate, like a husband or a wife, but they sure do know how to make someone feel loved.

Update; Keegan

Karing for KeeganMost of you know that I had a post up for Keegan requesting prayer for an upcoming surgery that took place on Monday May 16. The results for the surgery was not good; recurrent meldulloblastoma. Beth and Ryan need prayer for direction and strength. They feel let down by God but are still looking to Him for help. Praise God, their eyes are still on the one who knows what is up.

Please visit their blog, Karing for Keegan and leave a word of encouragement. This family needs to be surrounded by the love of God through His people.

Psalm 23 NIV

The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
 he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
   for his name’s sake.
Even though I walk
   through the darkest valley,
I will fear no evil,
   for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
   they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
   my cup overflows.
Surely your goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD
   forever.

Matthew 27:45-46 NIV

From noon until three in the afternoon darkness came over all the land. About three in the afternoon Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?” (which means “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”).

I have removed the comment button, please direct all comments to Beth at Karing for Keegan. Thank you.

God bless the prayer warriors and intercessors.

Spring Pictures

 Job 29:22-24 NIV

After I had spoken, they spoke no more;
my words fell gently on their ears.
They waited for me as for showers
and drank in my words as the spring rain.
When I smiled at them, they scarcely believed it;
the light of my face was precious to them

Cherry Blossoms

Copper

Limper
John
Star

Mountain side

Limper and Copper are our very first cows that we ever had, they are also the two last cows that need to give birth to babies. Last year we had to bottle feed Copper's baby as her milk bag split and the baby refused to drink. Hopefully we will not have this problem or any problem this year. So far we have only lost two babies and have had no bottle feeding to do!

Star and John are two of our 12 horses that get to roam near the house because they were the skinniest of all the horses coming out of the winter and into the spring. John acquired lice, yuck, and he lost almost all of his hair. Seriously he looked like one of those hairless cats but worse because he was a hairless horse! He is feeling much better and quite spry for an older horse of 25. Star is a persnickety horse and no one likes to ride him. John on the other hand, is the very best horse ever! Everyone wants to take him out for a ride. He is smooth, fast, tall and has a real sweet nature. I was very sad to see him feeling so sick and was a bit concerned that we were going to lose him, but he has turned around and is frolicking like a yearling! So cute to see the two of these guys bucking and rearing.

Hosea 6:2-3 NIV

After two days he will revive us;
on the third day he will restore us,
that we may live in his presence.
Let us acknowledge the LORD;
let us press on to acknowledge him.
As surely as the sun rises,
   he will appear;
he will come to us like the winter rains,
like the spring rains that water the earth.”

James 5:6-8 NIV

Be patient, then, brothers and sisters, until the Lord’s coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop, patiently waiting for the autumn and spring rains. You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord’s coming is near.

Gen 14; Prayers of the Righteous

Gen 14, Christian rap group.

There are so many prayers needed and many requests for this week alone. Prayer works and we are told if our heart is in right alignment with God and our sins are confessed to Him, He will answer our prayers. Hebrews 10:21-23

I want to thank all the prayer warriors out there who are praying for all of these requests I have put up. I praise God for sending you.

Ephesians 1:15-17 NIV
For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all God’s people, I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers. I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.

Ephesians 6:17-19 NIV
Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel,

Thank you Jesus for prayer!

Wear Green and Pray

I have another prayer request. Keegan is a little boy who has been fighting medulloblastoma a central nervous system tumor. He just had his scan on Thursday May 12th and it was good and not so good. The old tumor site looks great but there is a new mass that was found on the lower lumber spine which will be removed on Monday May 16th. Beth has asked for prayer and if you your church has a prayer chain to please put up a notice. She is also requesting for all who are interested on Monday May 16th to wear green and prayer for Keegan that this mass will be benign and the surgery will go smoothly.

I have put up a Mr. Linky for all who are interested in putting up a blog post for Keegan. Even if you are not interested in putting up a post and linking here please, please pray for there is power in our prayers; power we don't understand or see. Please head over to Beth's blog and give this mom some encouragement and love. Here is a little insert from Beth's last post...

Please find our page on facebook: Karing for Keegan on Facebook. I have set up an event to wear green and pray on Monday. It would mean the world to my family if you were behind us praying and petitioning the gates of heaven to make sure this is NOT recurrent disease!

If you would like to share this on your personal blog please feel free or would like to add our family  (specifically Keegan) to any and all prayer lists I am okay with that. Please feel free to head to our facebook page and participate. If you questions or need to get ahold of me I am at chupp {dot} beth {at}gmail {dot} com.

Thanks for all the prayers and support and hear is to hoping this is an easy successful surgery and what they removed is nothing at all!

1 Kings 8:28-29 NIV

Yet give attention to your servant’s prayer and his plea for mercy, LORD my God. Hear the cry and the prayer that your servant is praying in your presence this day. May your eyes be open toward this temple night and day, this place of which you said, ‘My Name shall be there,’ so that you will hear the prayer your servant prays toward this place.

Love in Christ Jesus,

Emily

EMILY

This sweet girl is going through a rough season right now and sure could use some loving. Summer over at Summer's Story, has put up a linky to support Emily. Please show her some love by making a post for her and saying something nice about this sweet 16 year old and link back to Summer's blog so Emily can see all of the love for her alone.

Emily, from what I can gather from knowing you since October 2010 is that you are one tough girl with a heart that loves God and her family a lot. Throughout this fight against cancer I have noticed that you haven't given up or become bitter and angry towards God. Your love and understanding of Him has grown and this is shaping you into the person He created you to be. Hang in there girl you can do this! Don't give up just pray more!

Joshua 1:8-9 NIV

Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”

2 Corinthians 4:17-18 NIV

For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

Emily, I was going to write down a prayer for you but I have the feeling that God wants me to tell you what He thinks of you through me. So this is what I am doing...I am praying to God and I am writing down all that He is telling me to say to you.

Dear child, My sweet dear child. Do you know how much I love you? Sit and listen to My love. My love for you goes beyond the universe it stretches beyond the unknown to man. My love for you has no beginning and no end. It is deeper than the oceans and is fuller than a hot air balloon. My daughter look at Me, keep your eyes fixed on Me always for My path and ways are the true way. It may be scary and dark at times but what you cannot see is the fulfillment of good that I am accomplishing through your work here on this earth. I am accomplishing a lot through your life. When you keep your focus on Me and your faith rooted in My word then I can go beyond your reach and touch those in need of My love. I AM reaching lots of people through your testimony to Me. There is a girl that reads your blog and she doesn't know Me but she will come into a relationship with Me through your obedience to Me.

Daughter, this trial you are going through is hard right now but trust Me, I am always with you walking beside you. Your smile brings great joy to me and I love the way you laugh, did you know that? Your laughter makes my stomach flutter and my heart swell. The tears you cry, I have collected them all for they are very precious to me. Fear not I am looking after you and I cherish you, you are my precious daughter.

Love Dad.

Praying for you Emily and sending you lots and lots of love from Canada!!

Update; Lucy

There has been some good and bad news for Lucy. It seems she had a mini stroke thus the reason for her blurring vision. God's hand was on Lucy for an emergency MRI was available and Lucy was able to be looked at right away. It was noticed that she suffered a mini stroke and a bonus to having this MRI was they were also able to see that the cancer is melting away from Lucy at an alarming rate! This is not normal! This is the work of our God!! Praises to You LORD for this miracle! What wonderful uplifting news for Kate's family.

Psalm 40:2-4 NIV

He lifted me out of the slimy pit,
   out of the mud and mire;
he set my feet on a rock
and gave me a firm place to stand.
He put a new song in my mouth,
a hymn of praise to our God.
Many will see and fear the LORD
and put their trust in him.  Blessed is the one
   who trusts in the LORD,
who does not look to the proud,
to those who turn aside to false gods.

Thank you God, You are so good!! Please continue to heal Lucy. In the mighty name of Jesus we ask, amen.

Pray, Pray and Pray Some More!

There has been some bad news, something I really wish I didn't have to post but prayers are needed.

Addison:
It has been discovered that Addison has spinal cord damage and organ failure due to the surgery she went through. She continues to fight and is giving her parents and the medical team hope as they witness miracle after miracle as this little girl is surviving against the odds.  The goal is to have her abdomen closed up on Friday if the swelling has gone down. Please continue to pray for another miracle here and for the doctors and staff, to know how to best treat Addison. Pray for strength, wisdom, courage and God's presence to be with them as they have to travel this very rough road.

Emily:
The present chemo treatment is not working on Emily and so the doctors have decided to discontinue this treatment and look for a new direction to take. The bad news is there isn't much available for Emily, one reason being because of her location in England. Please pray for an option to become available and for Emily's body, which is tired, to have energy to fight this cancer. Summer, over at Summer's Story is setting up a link up on Friday for Emily. I encourage you all to head there and read the instructions. We really need to support this sweet 16 year old as she fights for her life.

Lucy:
News just posted that Lucy is complaining about not being able to see! Please pray for her eyesight to be fine and for her mom Kate, who is very worried for her daughter.

I encourage you to please stop by each of these blogs and give some support to these families. This is not easy to go through but it sure does help when you know people are out there covering you in prayer and standing in the gap asking God for healing.

Psalm 89:1-3 NIV
I will sing of the LORD’s great love forever;
with my mouth I will make your faithfulness known
   through all generations.
I will declare that your love stands firm forever,
that you have established your faithfulness in heaven itself.
You said, “I have made a covenant with my chosen one,
I have sworn to David my servant,

Psalm 89:7-9 NIV

                                       In the council of the holy ones God is greatly feared;
he is more awesome than all who surround him.
Who is like you, LORD God Almighty?
You, LORD, are mighty, and your
faithfulness surrounds you.
You rule over the surging sea;
when its waves mount up, you still them.

Thank you for your prayers!!

Email: Hope This Will Be Our Walk

I received this in an email today and thought it went well with my previous post so I decided to copy and paste it here. ENJOY!

Hello God,
I called tonight
To talk a little while
I need a friend who'll listen
To my anxiety and trial.
You see, I can't quite make it
Through a day just on my own...
I need your love to guide me,
So I'll never feel alone.
I want to ask you please to keep
My family safe and sound.
Come and fill their lives with confidence
For whatever fate they're bound.
Give me faith, dear God, to face
Each hour throughout the day,
And not to worry over things
I can't change in anyway.
I thank you God for being home
And listening to my call,
For giving me such good advice
When I stumble and fall.
Your number, God, is the only one
That answers every time.
I never get a busy signal,
Never had to pay a dime.
So thank you, God, for listening
To my troubles and my sorrow.
Good night, God, I love You too,
And I'll call again tomorrow!

The man whispered, "God, speak to me"

and a meadowlark sang.

But, the man did not hear. So the man yelled,
"God, speak to me"
and the thunder rolled across the sky.

But, the man did not listen. The man looked around and said,
"God let me see you." And a star shined brightly.

But the man did not see. And, the man shouted,

"God show me a miracle."
And, a life was born.

But, the man did not notice. So, the man cried out in despair,
"Touch me God, and let me know You are here."
Whereupon, God reached down and touched the man.

But, the man brushed the butterfly away
and walked on.

I found this to be a great reminder that God is always around us in the little
and simple things that we take for granted...even in our electronic age...
so I would like to add one more:
The man cried,
"God, I need your help!"
And an e-mail arrived reaching out
with good news and encouragement.

But, the man deleted it and continued crying...
Don't miss out on a blessing because it isn't packaged the way that you expect.

1 Peter 2:6-8 NIV
For in Scripture it says:
“See, I lay a stone in Zion,
   a chosen and precious cornerstone,
and the one who trusts in him
will never be put to shame.”
Now to you who believe, this stone is precious. But to those who do not believe,
   “The stone the builders rejected
   has become the cornerstone,”and,
“A stone that causes people to stumble
and a rock that makes them fall.”
They stumble because they disobey the message—which is also what they were destined for.
