Father Knows

Matthew 6:8 NASB
So do not be like them; for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.

Yesterday, God reassured me that He knows what I am in need of even before I even pray. He met me with this verse, and settled a rising concern before it became too big. Truly He is awesome.

Trust Him to meet your need. He knows us so well and He will come in to reassure you of His caring ways that uniquely fit to meet you where you are at.

I'm linking up with Barbie, Fresh Brewed Sunday.

Have a great Sunday!!

  1. What a relief that God knows what we need before we even ask and loves to meet our needs! There's comfort in that :) Lovely picture!

    1. Hi Daisy,
There is comfort and relief and it is so amazing when He meets it.

This picture is of our small creek. Right now it is really flowing with the winter melt off. It has such a nice sound to it that I could sit and listen to it all day long.

  2. The Father knows what I need! Sometimes I think I know what I need best. And I can just picture the Father up in heaven, shaking his head saying, "I know my daughter. I see your desires. I will take care of you." He's so good!

Lol!! I love that image of the Father shaking His head. :) He loves His children and desires to look after us and His ways are always best.

  3. wow, this verse you posted really spoke to my heart this morning. when there is so much heavy to pray about, it is so comforting to know that He is our Father who already knows our needs and concerns. thanks for sharing this verse today.

    1. Hi Charis,
I am glad this verse spoke to you too! :) I too have had a lot of heavy prayer and He just came in with this verse and reassured me He knows and He is working on it.

  6. Two great truths you bring out. God knows our needs and God meets our needs. We think that we know our needs (I find that sometimes my concerns are bias by my wants), and sometimes I have a blurry or skewed view of what are my true needs and blind to my need to depend upon the Lord to guide me and meet my needs as He sees them. I keep falling into that trap, but learning from the falls to walk in the Spirit. Man, you got me thinking on this post. Thanks!

    1. Hi Brian,
Lol, me too! I get 'needs' and 'wants' mixed up and I really do appreciate it when our Father comes in and sets it straight.
Satan sure does love to come in a steal away the children of God by luring them with wants of the flesh. He has a very good tactic but Father, He is right there to bring us back if we will only obey Him.

I am glad I can return the favour and get you thinking. :) Your posts always get my mind churning.
