New Every Morning

Lamentations 3:22-24 NIV
Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed,
   for his compassions never fail.
They are new every morning;
    great is your faithfulness.


Each new day brings with it a new filling of the Holy Spirit. Another chance to do Father's will and for Him to work through you in a new and refreshing way. Don't rely on yesterday's Word of the Lord to work in you today. Seek His face today and read His Word today for He has great plans to flourish and renew you in Him.

Children of Sandy Hook



Isaiah 25:8 NIV
He will swallow up death forever.
The Sovereign Lord will wipe away the tears
    from all faces;
He will remove his people’s disgrace
    from all the earth.
The Lord has spoken.

Tragic!
Horrific!!
Abominable!!!

Oh how my heart bleeds and aches for the survivors and the families of those who died during the massacre that took place in Newton. This is pure evil and the worst thing is, it will only get worse. I am joining Barbie for Fresh Brewed Sundays. Today it is to share this tragic event and a prayer for those involve. Oh these dear children and now what they must bear!

Father, my God, the lover of my soul, I honour and adore You above all things. You are worthy of praise and worship in all circumstances. You are holy and You know all things. You are Comforter and Healer and only You can console the families and people that are involved in this tragic massacre that took place in Newton. No one else can heal the hurt and suffering these families are going through. Lord, step in with Your love and comfort the suffering and broken hearted mom's, dad's, siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends, neighbours, city, state, country and world. Rain Your wonderful amazing peace down on these who are in need right now. 

Father, we cannot comprehend this kind of killing of sweet, dear, innocent children. This is too painful to even try to understand, but I know, my Lord, that this is the act and hand of our enemy Satan. I know his day is coming when he will be thrown into the pit forever, never to torment us again. What a glorious day that will be! 

Daddy, oh daddy! Right now we must deal with this suffering and right now these families need Your grace and mercy. Send You healing blanket to cover and comfort them. Take this horrible situation and bring souls into Your Kingdom, Lord. Take what Satan has planned for evil and turn this into something good. Raise up mighty warriors who will pray and pray against this type of wicked. Let Your light shine brightly from Newton! Let Your love pulsate through North America and shake the wicked out of the ends of the earth! 

Sun, moon and stars, I command you to obey Your Creator in the name of Jesus. Rise up and fight for the One who formed you in the name of Jesus. Use the power your Master gave you and turn the fiery arrows of the evil one and throw them back to him in the name of Jesus. Fight like you fought Sisera in the times of old, in the name of Jesus. Judges 5:20 From the heavens the stars fought from their courses they fought against Sisera. 

Father, thank You for hearing my prayer and thank You for answering according to Your good and perfect will. You are Lord and King of my life and my deepest desire is to obey You and love You. I come to You and ask these things in the name of Your Holy precious Son, Jesus Christ my Savior amen and amen.

Fruit Gives Life


John 15:5-8 NIV
“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples."

Just like a tree if the branches stay rooted to the tree they will grow and produce fruit which brings life to those who eat it. If that branch is diseased, by say a worm, then that branch will wither, die and fall away from the tree. So it is with us, if we allow sin to come in and we don't get rid of that sin then it will destroy our foundation in Christ and we will wither up and fall away from our secure foundation. But if we repent of that sin and and keep our heart pure in Him, then when we pray and ask of the Father what lays on our heart, He will hear us and give it to us, but only if it will glorify Him by bringing more souls into His Kingdom.

Remembering...

Today is Remembrance Day.
A day to remember all the very brave men and women who fought for us so we can have freedom. I am so thankful for those who cared and who died so my family and I can have what we have today. We are very blessed.

Walk in the Spirit




Galatians 5:16 NIV
 So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.

Our flesh fights with the Spirit and we are not to do as our flesh desires but what the Spirit desires. The Spirit of God calls us to love, joy and peace. When we make ourselves focus on the fruit of the Spirit then we will start walking by the Spirit.

Galatians 5:22-23 NIV
 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

Peace

Peace. Just the sound of that word feels so good. True peace can only be found in Jesus Christ and a relationship with Him. Are you down today? Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Take heart! Jesus has already overcome what you are going through just look to Him and He will give you peace!

Written for our Learning


Romans 15:4-5 NKJV
For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope. Now may the God of patience and comfort grant you to be like-minded toward one another, according to Christ Jesus. 

God has really been speaking to me about watching and waiting. Scripture is being opened to me and the promises of God are jumping off the page at me. 
My heart has been so heavy for the sick. The physically sick and the spiritually sick and I find myself in intercession most of the day as God lays their precious faces on my mind. This is not an easy battle for Satan does not want me here and he has been attacking, but God keeps showing me that He is Sovereign and His Word is true I just need to believe and trust in Him that He's got this. 
As I stand under the attack of the evil one I know my Lord is defending me, so I fight with the armour of God on and look on the people around me with the love and patience God has for me.

Love To Forgive



Colossians 3:13 NIV
Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.

Sometimes forgiveness does not come easily, especially if the hurt is deep. We need to ask God to give us strength and for His supernatural power in order to forgive. Does this mean we trust and forget? No, but we choose to love and accept and He works a miracle in our heart as we obey the Father. There is freedom in forgiveness.

God Does Not Lie

What if some did not have faith? Will their lack of faith nullify God’s faithfulness? Not at all! Let God be true, and every man a liar.

Our God is solid. He cannot lie. 
His word stands the test of time. Even right now prophecies are coming true before our very eyes. It is us who doubt, who question if what is happening is just fluky nature. I say the weird weather is not fluky or a coincidence but it is God's very hand unfolding what He foretold. 

Friend, believe His word for what it is, Truth.

Where God Dwells

LORD, I love the house where you live, 
   the place where your glory dwells. 

Where is the house of the LORD? His dwelling place is inside of believers of Jesus Christ. This psalm of David says that he loved the house where God lives and that is people. We are to love the believers of Jesus Christ and we love by caring for them and their needs. We are also to love ourselves and take care of the temple of God.

Which Way?


Matthew 16:15-16 NIV

““But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?” Simon Peter answered, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”” 

Last night my husband had a chance to speak to a friend who doesn't follow God but is into the New Age thought process of all paths lead to God. He said it was difficult to talk to him about the Truth because this man believes in all god's and all paths to him. The focus of their religion is on self happiness and it doesn't matter what you do as long as you are happy. So my husband posed a question to him of a mass murderer and is it okay for someone to kill people as long as they are happy? And, if what you are doing doesn't make me happy then what do you do? It totally stumped him and got him thinking.

There is only one way to God and eternal life with Him and that is through Jesus Christ. Who do you say Christ is?

Master Commander


Isaiah 55:8-9 NIV
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
    neither are your ways my ways,” 
declares the Lord.
“As the heavens are higher than the earth, 
    so are my ways higher than your ways
    and my thoughts than your thoughts.

This is so profound! 

We think, therefore we believe we think like God. We think we understand God and know why He does things in the way that He does. Life moves along smoothly and we believe we have it all figured out and then sickness comes in or financial issues hit us. We check ourselves and see that everything seems to be in alignment and we are following in His footsteps and we question God, "Why LORD?" He returns us His silence. 
God has a plan, a master design and we don't really know what it is. His thoughts and ways are far beyond ours and for this I am so very thankful for His is trustworthy. Even if I don't understand the why's I do know that He is fully capable to lead and direct my life because He knows the ending and by reading His Word, the ending sounds pretty good to me.

The words of God are so beautiful to me. To think He loves us so deeply and completely just makes me wonder and wonder about Him. How will He look like. What will it be like standing forever in His presence. I am so excited to meet God, to see Jesus face to face. Will I be able to tell Him just how much I love Him? I believe so. He is my lover, my friend.

Be Happy

Therefore, a man cannot discover
    anything about his future.

If we didn't have bad times we wouldn't know what good times are. A friend of mine just returned from a missions trip and upon her return her heart was so thankful for what she has. Before she left she thought she lived in a 'not so nice' part of town but after being away and seeing how others lived she realized that where she lives is, in fact, a very nice place.

Warrior Princess



Ephesians 6:16 NIV
In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.

The more I press into God the more Satan attacks and tries to take me out. A few years ago he would have succeeded but now I know just who I am in Christ and the work I am doing for God hurts Satan greatly. Although I don't like to be attacked I do know how to fight back. I am becoming a mighty warrior for my best friend, Jesus Christ. When He returns and the battle of Armageddon has begun, I will fight by the side of my amazing Groom, for I am part of the bride of Christ.

Daddy's Compassion

Praise the Lord, O my soul;

The Lord is compassionate and gracious,

Father Knows



Matthew 6:8 NASB
So do not be like them; for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him. 

Yesterday, God reassured me that He knows what I am in need of even before I even pray. He met me with this verse, and settled a rising concern before it became too big. Truly He is awesome.

Trust Him to meet your need. He knows us so well and He will come in to reassure you of His caring ways that uniquely fit to meet you where you are at.

Spiritual Warfare

Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them. But the prince of the Persian kingdom resisted me twenty-one days. Then Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, because I was detained there with the king of Persia. 

Spiritual warfare is real and could be one of the reasons why our prayers take so long to be answered. When we humble ourselves by repenting, fasting and praying be rest assured that God does hear and He will answer our prayers.
