God Is Logical

Make Known Your Ways LORD

The Christians worldview, beginning with creation, is the only rational, possible explanation to how our world began and how we came into being. Any alternative to this is self-refuting. Our God is logical and His way makes sense

Titus 1:9 NIV
He must hold firmly to the trustworthy message as it has been taught, so that he can encourage others by sound doctrine and refute those who oppose it.

How does a Christian account for the laws of logic?
  • The Christian worldview states that God is absolute and the standard of truth.
  • Therefore, the absolute laws of logic exist because they reflect the nature of an absolute God.
  • God did not create the laws of logic. They were not brought into existence, since they reflect God's thinking. Since God is eternal, the laws of logic are too.
  • Man, being made in God's image, is capable of discovering these laws of logic. He does not invent them.
  • Therefore, the Christian can account for the existence of the laws of logic by acknowledging they originate from God and that Man is only discovering them.
  • Nevertheless, the atheist might say this answer is too simplistic and too convenient. It might be, but at least the Christian worldview can account for the existence of logic itself.
Colossians 2:2-4 NIV
My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. I tell you this so that no one may deceive you by fine-sounding arguments.

Seeking the truth can only be found in the Christian God, Jesus Christ, and only through the reading of Scripture will bring about wisdom, knowledge and understanding.

  1. Hi child of God,
I love the way that everything knits together in the scriptures with the Holy Spirit's enlightening, there is no question that could be asked that can not be answered with scripture. Yet when evolutionists say that we evolved from apes then I have to wonder why there are still apes on the planet. Shouldn't they all be human beings?

    1. Hi Brenda,
Scripture is foolishness to those who do not have the Spirit. I was watching a video on how to evangelize to evolutionists and it all boils down to share the Gospel and let God's Spirit bring the salvation. God is logical and any other way of looking at science and such is foolishness and self refuting.

Yea, how come there are still apes? That is total silliness and so far out there yet it is sustained because Satan knows how to blind people to the truth.

      Thanks for visiting hon,

  2. Hi Child of God,

The truth is simple, lies are complicated because then there have to be more and more lies to support the original lie. Yesterday I was contemplating the simplicity of the honest to God truth, and it had me marveling and thanking the Lord for the beauty of it's simplicity, that truly even a child can comprehend the truth of it. You are correct, though, it requires the Spirit of Truth to comprehend the whole truth. Before I was saved I couldn't understand the scriptures and needed someone to explain it to me...and the ones I turned to (SDA, Mormons, and then NAM) had it completely wrong. It was truly a case of the blind leading the blind. Then when I turned to Jesus and He gave His Spirit to me, it all fell into place. I still enjoy listening to a good preacher, but the Spirit shows me things that the preachers might miss or get wrong from time to time. Without the Holy Spirit the preachers wouldn't help me, and with the Holy Spirit they teach me more than even they probably realize. :)

    1. Hi Susan,
It IS simple! So simple a child can understand. :)
The Holy Spirit makes the pieces of the puzzle fit together. It is a wonderful thing to behold, seeing the light strike and sense finally made.

      Thanks for sharing.

  3. I had a very hard time following the logic of this post. It's like me trying to say "the sky is blue, therefore birds exist."

Logic does not exist except in the mind of man. Ironic, same with god!

    1. So nice to see you Mormon 411, it's been awhile.

No worries about not seeing the logic, without the Spirit of God is it just foolishness to you. 1 Corinthians 2:14 The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned.

Been praying for you many times a day since the last time you were here and I hope all is well with you and yours.

      God bless,
