Little Bear

Job 12:7 ESV
“But ask the beasts, and they will teach you; the birds of the heavens, and they will tell you;..."

My camera has been in the repair shop for the past two months. It sure is frustrating!! Anyway, here are some sweet phone pictures of my friend who I do believe is an orphan cub that the family and I saw at the beginning of spring time.

He is dining out in the apple tree right beside the house. I have tracked this fellow and have found his path that goes up into the mountain. He comes down 3 or 4 times a day to graze in the tree and much in the garden. He apparently does not like squash. ;P

Psalm 145:9 ESV
The Lord is good to all, and his mercy is over all that he has made.
 Blessings,

    1. Hi Brenda,
Living in the area I am in I get to see a lot of wildlife. Father's provision for them is amazing. I never tire of watching the animals He created graze and forge for food.

  2. How sweet that you are sharing your bounty with such a cute fella!
I always use my (old) smartphone to take outdoor pics, but it has finally worn out, so I am in the market for a good camera. I have a sony digital camera, but I am not too crazy about it and the smartphone actually took better pics (most of the ones on my blog).
Any suggestions on what camera to look for?

    1. Hi Lisa,
I have a Nikon D80 that is being repaired. I love it! It takes amazing pictures but is a bit cumbersome. There are newer versions of this camera, (mine is old), that I believe are more compact. I have always been a fan of the Nikon and normally they are solid cameras with no issues to deal with but I believe the controls on this one were fiddled with and something jammed inside the lens.

My phone takes amazing pictures but the zoom just doesn't cut it. You can see how granular these pics of Little Bear are, that is the zoom.

I have no issues sharing the garden with any of God's creatures, we have plenty and the joy I receive at watching them up close is well worth it.

      Blessings,

    2. Thanks, I will look into that camera. I usually never know what to ask my husband for at Christmas...I never want anything, but this year I am hoping to find the right camera.
It is surely a blessing whenever our Father sends one of His creatures into our lives, especially up close ;)

    3. Hi Lisa,
It sure is! You and I are very blessed to live where we do. Being able to be around His wild creation is such a treat.

Hope you find a camera you will love and enjoy.

    1. Hi Floyd,

I live in North Western Canada in the British Columbia rocky mountains. We have a ton of wild life but often they are too far to take a good picture with my phone. Little Bear is like 50 ft from my kitchen window so I was able to zoom in and capture his image.

  5. I meant to say 'live'! That could have been misconstrued! I guess that in a place like NW Canada you could walk for days and not see a living soul. I mean there are parts of the British Isles that are remote as well, but in a country so vast, the emptiness and vast distances must be thrilling, grand and even a little overwhelming at the same time.

    1. Hi Tim,
Lol! I knew you meant live. :)
Canada is vast and there are a lot of areas just like you described. I don't find it overwhelming at all but it is what I am used to. Now, if I was in a condensed city for a long period of time like where you live, I would find that overwhelming and I would need to go into the wilderness just to breathe. ;P It is funny how we adjust to our surroundings. I guess that is one reason why God tells us to surround ourselves with believers because we feed off of those that are around us.

  6. It is quite a big city where I live, but it sprawls a lot too and so there are parts that are less built up. But I love the countryside a lot and go to North Wales when I can; a different world altogether. I like lonely beaches, country paths and quaint towns and love to photograph them all as well. Part of me craves isolation and living on a remote farm and part of me needs the city life as well.

    1. Hi Tim,
One day I would love to visit England. I am sure pictures do not do your beautiful country justice. I have had many family members visit there and their stories make me excited and desire to visit myself. But, that doesn't look like it will be happening anytime soon.

Thanks for sharing, it has been wonderful.
