Remembering...

Psalm 18:17 NIV
He rescued me from my powerful enemy,
from my foes, who were too strong for me.

Today is Remembrance Day.
A day to remember all the very brave men and women who fought for us so we can have freedom. I am so thankful for those who cared and who died so my family and I can have what we have today. We are very blessed.

John Diefenbaker
13th Prime Minister of Canada
I am a Canadian, free to speak without fear, free to worship in my own way, free to stand for what I think right, free to oppose what I believe wrong, or free to choose those who shall govern my country. This heritage of freedom I pledge to uphold for myself and all mankind.

  3. All so true Child of God! Tomorrow we celebrate Veterans Day here in the US, a similar holiday meant to honor those who've served and often given the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms.

Sadly many, many of us here have become so complacent about the rights you and your Prime Minister remind Canadian citizens about.

But isn't it wonderful to live in countries with such great freedoms!!!

I hope you had a good Remembrance Day and have a wonderful week!

    2. Amen~ I hope our President listens to your Prime Minister about fiscal responsibility, because our countries are interdependant...The sacrifices our brave soldiers have made in order to have these freedoms must never be forgotten, nor should the freedom be taken for granted by the people, or squandered by the government...Praying for God's protection over our countries!

  7. Hi child of God,
some of the stories that we have seen on the television of the bravery and self sacrifice of soldiers and ordinary people during wartime have been amazing. It is right that we remember with gratitude these people who defended our countries from those who attacked us.

    1. Hi Brenda,
There are some very brave souls out there. I know I take for granted the freedom I have but when I reflect on Jesus and what He did on the cross for us I can relate and am so thankful for the gift of freedom here in the natural that these brave women and men have given to us by their sacrifice. The price is high and should never be forgotten.

      Blessings thanks for visiting.
