Bree needs our prayers

Bree
Beth, Karing for Keegan, had a notice on her Facebook page asking for prayer for her friend's daughter Bree. Bree suffers from the very same disease that Keegan had, medulloblastoma.

Bree just had an MRI and the results came back devastating to her family. They need to do a re-do of the scans in 3-4 weeks because the diagnosis is not clear yet. Please pray for Bree that this cancer has not spread in the form of leptomeningeal, spreading over the brain and down the spinal column.

Please pray that God will intervene and stop this cancer in it's track and reverse it. Pray for health and 100% cancer free.

Matthew 16:19 NIV
"I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”

With this verse, Matthew 16:19, I pray in the mighty name of Jesus Christ that the cancer in Bree is bound up and cast out and I free in her health. Thank you Father, You are the best!

James 5:15 NIV
And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven.

Please intercede with me for 100% health for Bree and everyone else on this prayer list.

  5. Hi Kerrie, Brian and Barbie,

Thanks! It is so very sad but I know the touch of God can heal Bree. I hope and pray this is in His plans to heal her here on earth.

  6. Hi CoG, It's me, your favorite atheist Mormon411! I have to stop in once in a while and rattle your cage a little!

Don't get me wrong, I sincerely hope that Bree and all the other sweet children on this website can get better and live normal and long lives.

What I really fail to see is how your prayer for all of these children to be healed does any good. Some of them have good outcomes and some of them don't. I'm just wondering why it appears to be that god answers some of your prayers and ignores others? Does he love the children who are healed more than the ones who aren't?

I really am confused how you justify this in your mind. It appears that the outcomes are completely random. How do you explain this, especially since you said you "...know the touch of God can heal..." If that was true, wouldn't all of them be healed, not just some of them?

And if god is willing to heal them, why does he need to wait for your prayers? If he is a loving god, he would do it anyway, even if no one prayed for it. Why did he allow the problem to happen in the first place?

  7. "I hope and pray this is in His plans to heal her here on earth."

Sorry, one more thought. What if little Bree dies? It must have been gods will, right? So if she dies and you wanted her to live, then you are in opposition to gods will. That makes you a sinner.

So does that mean that you should have prayed for Bree to die? Sorry but I'm really confused and the more I try to understand you, the more confused I am.

  8. Mormon 411, hello!

Before I give an answer to your questions, I want to let you know that I have been praying and praying for you, hoping that you would return to this blog. Thanks for stopping by.

How can I explain to you what the Spirit of God tells me? I can’t. You need the Spirit of God in you in order to understand the mystery of the ways of God. Even me, with the Spirit, can only understand what God reveals to me. I believe the Word of God to be true 100%.

    Proverbs 30:5
    “Every word of God is flawless;
he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.

I believe that God cannot lie. So with this belief in me I choose to obey God by following His Word and obeying the calling He has placed on me. God tells His children to pray for all things at all times.

    Philippians 4:6
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

    Ephesians 6:18 NLT
Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.

    1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

My God tells me to pray for all things all the time so this is what I do. Weather He chooses to heal here on earth or in heaven that is His choice not mine. God’s plans and ways are beyond my understanding. Why does He allow these children to suffer? Go and read Courtney Roth’s blog, http://randycourtneytripproth.blogspot.com her son just past away after 2 ½ years of suffering terribly from the disease EB. She knows in her heart there is a reason for his suffering and one of the reasons was many, many people came to know God closer, and love their children more because of Tripp. Her testimony is powerful. I ask you to visit her blog but that you would have decency to respect her since she just recently lost her son.

    1 Corinthians 2:9-16
    “What no eye has seen,
    what no ear has heard,
and what no human mind has conceived”—
the things God has prepared for those who love him—
these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit.
The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us. This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual realities with Spirit-taught words. The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit. The person with the Spirit makes judgments about all things, but such a person is not subject to merely human judgments, for,
“Who has known the mind of the Lord
    so as to instruct him?”
But we have the mind of Christ.

    .....

    God bless,

  9. .... Continuing on...

    Matthew 13:11-16
He replied, “Because the knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them. Whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them. This is why I speak to them in parables:

    “Though seeing, they do not see;
though hearing, they do not hear or understand.

In them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah:

    “‘You will be ever hearing but never understanding;
you will be ever seeing but never perceiving.
    For this people’s heart has become calloused;
they hardly hear with their ears,
and they have closed their eyes.
Otherwise they might see with their eyes,
    hear with their ears,
    understand with their hearts
and turn, and I would heal them.’

But blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear.

I hope and pray the Spirit of God reaches in and you hear His voice.

    God Bless,
    <><

  10. How can I put this? Your answer made sense without making sense.

If the Bible says "pray for everything" and you believe in the Bible, then it makes sense that you pray and let god determine the outcome.

Being as serious as I can be and not trying to offend in any way, I think the "god's ways are higher than our ways" reply is just a cop-out. It's a way of making god real and justifying the complete randomness of life all at the same time. In short, it's a convenient excuse that makes the believer always right.

If little Bree survives, praise the lord! If little Bree dies, praise the lord! No matter what the outcome, it's proof that your god is real. For the life of me, I can't understand how people actually subscribe to that type of thinking.

If nothing else, there is one thing about an atheist that I would like you to understand: quoting scriptures will never convince them that god is real. It's like trying to prove Superman with a comic book. The comic book says that Superman can leap tall buildings in a single bound. Since it says it, it must be true. This is obviously very flawed logic, but somehow it is perfect logic to someone who is trying to prove god with the Bible. Just because the Bible "says so" doesn't mean that it is so, just like the comic book doesn't prove Superman even though it "says so".

Thank you for letting me post here and for taking the time to reply to me.

P.S. I won't be praying for any of the kids here, but I do sincerely hope that they all recover and can be healthy and normal.

  11. Hi Mormon 411,
Well it seems that this will just go in a circle again. Either you believe or you don’t. That is your choice that you need to make. Are you prepared for what is waiting for you when you cross the line from this life? If you do not know Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, then you will be eternally separated from God, who is all good.
I am not a theologian and quoting Scripture is what God tells me to do. I am not trying to convince you of the existence of God for I can’t do that, only the Holy Spirit can. One thing I promise you and that what I tell you I speak from conviction and I am willing to die for my conviction and to be made of fool of, if that is how it is received.
Here is a really cool link to a worldwide debate between William Lane Craig vs Christopher Hitchens - Does God Exist? I will leave the debating God to the experts. Check it out and watch this 2 hr video maybe some questions will be answered for you. Debate starts around 11:50 on the video clock http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4KBx4vvlbZ8&t=10m42s
Rest assure that I will be praying for you, hoping God will soften your heart and you will see the truth.
Thank you for being respectful, I do appreciate it.
    God bless,

  12. Thank you for being respectful too. I truly wish more religious people were as kind, unassuming, and genuine as you seem to be. We may disagree in our beliefs, but I truly do respect you. Most religious people won't let anyone comment if they disagree in any way and I appreciate your willingness to take the criticism and defend your faith.

I can assure you that your prayers on my behalf are not necessary, although I do appreciate the gesture.

I would pray for you to "see the light" as well, but, well, I don't pray so I'll just have to hope.

BTW, I really do appreciate your reply. It helps me understand, a little, how the mind of a believer works.

I guess our debate will keep going in circles so I'll back off for now, but I'll be back! Have a great day and thanks!

  13. Hi Mormon 411

    Your welcome. :)

I use to work with problem, abused horses. The only way to work with them and gentle them is with kindness and love yet a firm hand in showing them what is the right way. It is the same for people. Kindness and love along with firmness, we all want and deserve this.

I really do hope that you understand and soon because Jesus has told us that He will be returning. As it looks by all of the problems between Iran and Israel, He could be returning soon.

You are always welcome here if you are not picking a fight.

God bless and I will be praying.
