Mid-Morning Walk

My son and I went for a mid-morning walk yesterday. While walking I kept thinking about God and how very blessed I am. Looking at the mountains, trees and sky I kept thinking about how big God is and man tries to put Him in a box so we can understand this Creator of ours. I know I want to understand Him and with my limited thinking I draw a picture of Him, but He is so much bigger than I could ever imagine.

Well, those were just some of my thoughts while I was walking. The day was gorgeous and the picture taking superb! Here's our walk in pictures. Enjoy!

Revelation 22:12-21 NIV

“Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.    “Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city. Outside are the dogs, those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.
“I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star.”
The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life.
I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this scroll: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to that person the plagues described in this scroll. And if anyone takes words away from this scroll of prophecy, God will take away from that person any share in the tree of life and in the Holy City, which are described in this scroll.
He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon.”
   Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.
The grace of the Lord Jesus be with God’s people. Amen.

Resting in Jesus,
<><

  1. We are all waiting eagerly for His coming. Yes I love to walk and ponder on the greatness of God. I have ordered some good walking shoes and hope after my heart is fixed on the 16th of this month I will be able to get out and about as I used to. I am still clumsy at walking but getting stronger. Blessings to you. X

  4. Child of God, hello my friend. Your pictures remind me of those book markers you get with Bible verses on, very nice.
Have you noticed Jesus says he's coming soon to reward each man according to his actions? I have found that when I pray to Him it doesn't take long for him to answer and if I'm awake I see his answer but if I'm not too watchful I sometimes miss what he has answered. This little verse has taught me much about prayer and faith. He is alive and always watchful, always willing to answer my prayers. That's how faithful He is.
God bless and keep you, Geoff.

  5. Hi Lon,
Glad you liked the pics! It was fun taking them but it did make for a slower walk than usual. :)

    Hi Geoff,
Thanks for sharing about your answered prayers. I agree with you that we need to really listen for God's answer to pray for most often He whispers it. I know I would just love it if He would shout it. Teaches us stillness, patience and careful listening skills.

    Thanks for stopping by brothers,

  6. Hello dear friend! Long time no visit!! Have greatly missed your deep, poetic, beautiful soul and love for the Lord, which so clearly is expressed through your writing and your posts!! What a blessing!! Thank you for this, and the wonderful scripture you added. Truly, He is beyond our small, finite comprehension.....so beyond us....how dare we think we know more than Him. Was just reading God's response to Job yesterday....basically He say, "who do you think you are in comparison to My creation?"...so true....Much love ~ alice

  7. Hi Alice,
Oh I have missed you! I miss your comments and your blogs!

Yes, we are nothing in comparison to God. How can we possibly think we know more. It will be a humbling yet joyous time when we finally meet Him. If it wasn't for His deep love for us and the covering of Jesus in us, I don't think we could survive the shame.

    Blessings girl,

  12. Thank you for sharing these beautiful pictures! I especially like "God doesn't just love you, He likes you". Isn't it amazing at how precious the beauty of nature is when it is slowly disappearing day by day, as colors fade, we hang on to the small things just like the trees hang on to the few bright leaves left on them. Looking forward to some gorgeous snow-laden landscapes however!

  13. Hi Lisa,
This is a saying that just rocks me to my core, that God doesn't just love us He likes us. He wants to be our friend and hang out with us. That blows me away. Our amazing Creator wants to hang out with us, be included in what we are doing. That is a WOW for me. :)

I too love the snow and am so excited for the first few flakes to fly. I have the snow shoes ready and patiently waiting...

    Blessings,

  14. I am so much in love with His goodness and too am in awe of His beauty around us. Even when things aren't appealing to the eye we must be able to see His goodness in it(:
Btw...walking with you, my beloved sister ♥

"for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can't see--such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him." Col. 1:16 NLT

    God Bless :)

  15. Hi IwP,
Thanks for walking with me. :) It is nice having company. I know sometimes it is tough and not appealing but it is always good to give Him glory because He is working out something beautiful, just sometimes we cannot see.

    Blessings,
