Grace And Grace Alone

Does our salvation come through love?
No.
This is something people just don't understand. It is through grace and grace alone that we find eternal life.
Ephesians 2:8 ESV
"For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God,"
God saves by grace and He demonstrated His love for us by giving His Son, Jesus, to die for us. God will save us BUT only if we come to Him by belief in Jesus Christ.

It is a leap of faith and only when this leap is taken will the understanding come in.

Praise GOD!

I'm linking up with Barbie for The Weekend Brew.

  8. Amen to what you have said, without the unmerited favor of God there would be no way back to Him. We must believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, the Word, that is our part in it.
    God bless.

  10. Hi child of God,

I love the photo and the verse! I heard Voddie Baucham preach on Ephesians a couple of days ago (from a conference with R.C. Sproul, I'm going to go on a Voddie binge for a while). He says some things...and speaks so clearly...I think if I were there I would have been able to hear a pin drop everyone was THAT rapt in attention.

My husband says we might go either to Nova Scotia or up north in northern Ontario this summer. I will bring my camera for sure! Canada is Beautiful!!! One day I hope to visit the Canadian rockies as well, and Vancouver too! And thanks for visiting my bloggyworld, haha, yeah often I get this backwards and yet the Lord is patient and can make something beautiful out of my little messes (Romans 8:28 is my anchor)

    1. Hi Susan,

I love R.C. Sproul! I will have to search up Voddie Baucham, I am not familiar with him.

You will love northern Ontario and Nova Scotia, they are really beautiful provinces. Yes, take lots and lots of pictures. Norther Ontario up by Ottawa have some amazing old farm homes and barns built out of stone. It is very historic. You need to snap lots of pics and do some traveling in the fall time as the fall colours in Ontario are so amazing. If you do come out to BC let me know.

  11. Comes down to personal accountability. People don't like that, much easier to cast doubts on God's love than to accept we need His grace and must choose to take it.

    1. Hi TC,
Some people think that because God is love He will not cast anyone into hell. How far from the truth that is. Because God is love and perfect in every way He cannot look on evil for it cannot survive in His presence, evil must flee just because of who God is. It is only through His grace that we can be clean in front of Him and stand in His amazing presence. The grace of Jesus Christ. Yes, people don't like to be accountable and it is just easier to cast doubts and ignore the reality of the truth.

      Thanks for visiting. Blessings.

  12. We do take quite a bit for granted in these earthly body because our physical senses perceive the material world around us. The spiritual is perceived in our soul (mind, will and emotions) and that we are less attentive to, losing track of consciously. Reality and truth exist in the experience of both the physical and spiritual. God's love, mercy & grace transcends the material and physical, yet permeate both with the spiritual. The Father reveals truth that "As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh[a] and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath. But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God — not by works. Amen.

    1. Hi Brian,
I love how the natural mirrors the spiritual. Aside from Scripture we can know God by just looking at the world around us. We can understand some of His ways by studying structures like our armies and governments. Studying different cultures can also give us good ideas of who Father is. People are without excuse for not knowing God and seeking Him. The whole world and universe shouts about Him, yet people choose to love self over God and choose to serve the love of money over the Creator of money. Yet because of Father's love He gave up His Son for us and it is through His grace and our faith that we can, if we choose, to stand before Him un-condemned for the sins we commit.

Yes, not works but faith!!! His gift to us and what an amazing gift it is!

Blessings brother, thank you for sharing your thoughts they always make me thing. :)

    2. *should make a correction on my comment to you Brian*
It is through His grace by our faith in His promise, that we can, if we choose, to stand before Him...

  13. Hi Child of God,
I am amazed by reading your words of wisdom, and the wonderful comments you have received.
We indeed, serve an awesome God. Praise the Lord, Jesus Christ, our Savior!
Without Jesus, we are nothing, but dust in the wind.
Our flesh will eventually rot like all material things, but our spiritual souls will live, if we believe.
Thank you so much, Child of God, for sending The News about our Christian friend, John!
I feel sad after reading the outcome in his obituary. But, I know, I shall see him in Heaven one day,
when the clock of time will strick my time to part...
I am praying for his loving wife, as John requested us to do.
I also posted in my Facebook page a little song that I wrote in his memory.
I hope you take a look at it...
I sent a couple of emails to you, but you haven't replied yet.
It will be wonderful and a blessing from our dear Lord to travel back to Canada, one day again...
I was in Ontario twice, one time in Toronto, one time in Ottawa and Niagara Falls. Gorgeous places!
God keeps blessing you, Child of God, and those you love.
    Blessings,
    Poet Starry Dawn.

    1. Hi Starry Dawn,
There are some amazing comments here from some amazing people who love Jesus.

One day, like you said, our flesh will rot but our soul will either live on forever in the presence of God or will be tormented forever in hell. Only through the acknowledgement of Jesus Christ as our Savior will we truly find freedom and life.

It is sad that JT is no longer here on earth but I am very happy knowing that he is in the presence of God! Nothing is better than that. I will reply to your emails, I have just received them today and when I have a moment I will reply to you.

I will check out your song. How sweet you wrote one for him.

Canada is beautiful and I love it here. There are so many beautiful places in the world, I sure would love to see them all.

      Blessings hon,
