Fall Time

5:15 am starts allow me to greet the sunrise and lately the early mornings have been spectacular. Here are some pics of the wonderful clouds on the drive back from the bus stop, which I need to have my daughter in town for the early morning bus. Of course these pictures do not do the glorious sky justice. :)

 Daniel 2:20-22 NIV

“Praise be to the name of God for ever and ever;
   wisdom and power are his.
He changes times and seasons;
   he deposes kings and raises up others.
He gives wisdom to the wise
   and knowledge to the discerning.
He reveals deep and hidden things;
   he knows what lies in darkness,
   and light dwells with him.

Acts 14:16-18 NIV

In the past, he let all nations go their own way. Yet he has not left himself without testimony: He has shown kindness by giving you rain from heaven and crops in their seasons; he provides you with plenty of food and fills your hearts with joy.” Even with these words, they had difficulty keeping the crowd from sacrificing to them.

 Exodus 34:21 NIV

“Six days you shall labor, but on the seventh day you shall rest; even during the plowing season and harvest you must rest.

 Leviticus 26:3-5 NIV

‘If you follow my decrees and are careful to obey my commands, I will send you rain in its season, and the ground will yield its crops and the trees their fruit. Your threshing will continue until grape harvest and the grape harvest will continue until planting, and you will eat all the food you want and live in safety in your land.'

I love fall time. The bounty of the harvest, the cooler days and cold nights, the amazing clouds and the turning of the leaves, the horses and cows starting to grow their winter coats and the wonderful smell in the air, the toasty fire in the fire place, the return of the chickadees all add up to this being one of my favourite seasons. How about you? Which is your favourite season?

Blessings,
<><

  2. Fall is my favorite too-and I LOVE your pictures! I love to see the leaves turning colors :)

    Thank you for the diet tips in relation to my RA. I've switched a LOT of stuff around and eat a lot more fruits and veggies and fish...hopefully it will help my joints. And if nothing else, it is a lot healthier for me :)

  3. Hi Lon,
    Thanks for the compliment on the pics. They were taken with my phone, so the depth and layers of the clouds don't show. It truly was an 'ahhhh' moment. :)

    Hi Katy,
    I have also heard that Omega 3 oil, in the form of Salmon or other fish, is great for the joints. I am 1 mth into taking it and am seeing a bit of a difference. 3 mths is needed to have the full effect.
    Praying for you girl!

    Blessings,

  4. Wow! What wonderful wonderland photos of God's Creation! I was just writing my cousin in Missouri that I long four the four seasons, which we do not truly get her in Southern California. I've read that Anaheim (home of Disneyland & me) has a Mediteranean climate that is sunny and warm all year round, so we miss the Fall and Winter ... for the most part. But when we miss the colors, the snow and associated cold ... we miss it emotionally too. Thanks for the blessings of your post.

  5. Autumn is also my preferred time of year. The weather is just perfect, not too cold or hot. And I love how everything is changing. Reminds me that I am ever changing in the light of God.

  6. Hi Brian,
    If I lived in a warm climate all year long, I too would miss the changes of the seasons. The changes of the seasons always brings about a feeling of a new chapter, an adventure to partake. Glad you liked the pics, it truly was a beautiful morning.

    Hi Barbie,
    We are forever changing, like the seasons. I love how you said this.

    It seems lots of people love the fall time. Aside from the cooler temps and amazing clouds, I love the crunching of the leaves. :)

    Blessings and thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment.

  7. Hi Child Of God,
    I adore the autumn, I appreciate living in a Northern climate during this season..I also love the beautiful skies where it seems God paints us a new scene each new day. I used to enjoy the early mornings also when the kids were young and I got them off to the school bus. I hate to admit that I tend to sleep in nowadays though. I also enjoy those awesome sunsets!

  8. Hi Lisa,
    I too adore the sunsets, but I must admit, here in the mountains the sunsets are very quick, not long and lingering like on the prairies. Once the sun goes down behind the mountain it is dark.

    Blessings girl,

  9. Hi Child of GOD -

    Thank you for the fall photos. There is nothing like our Lord's creations!

    My favorite season is "To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:" - Ecclesiastes 3:1 - KJV

  10. Hi Sandra,

    I love Ecclesiastes. Reading the 'to everything thing there is a season', always puts life into perspective.
