Saved by Faith or Works ~ Gospel Message

Here is the Gospel message presented very clearly.

Ephesians 2:8 NIV
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God--

Infused
 Verb

Fill; pervade: "her work is infused with an anger".
Instill (a quality) in someone or something: "infused good humor into his voice".

Imputed
 Verb

Represent (something, esp. something undesirable) as being done, caused, or possessed by someone; attribute.
Assign (a value) to something by inference from the value of the products or processes to which it contributes.

Ephesians 2:8-10 NIV
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Blessings,

  1. I didn't watch the video yet, I will but love that verse, and love how you broke it down! I think we work out our faith because we are so grateful for the gift He gave us, how could we not want to serve Him?

    1. Hi Jennifer,
It is a short video but very powerful in the way it is done.

I agree with you that it is because of our thankfulness for what we have received that we do good works because we love Him.

      Blessings hon,

  3. Hi child of God,
Yes,some good scriptures in the video. Our heavenly Father chose to give us birth through the word of truth, so if we are doers of the word spoken to us through Jesus our Lord and mediator, and not just hearers, then we shall be blessed in what we do.

    1. Hi Brenda,
Isn't that the key? Doers of the spoken Word and not just hearers. We need to live out Scripture. Father wants us to be obedient, He doesn't desire sacrifice He desires us to obey Him.

      Thanks for sharing that hon,

  4. Hi child of God,
Awesome video. Every thing Ray Comfort does is great. If we were saved by works, how much works would one have to do? It would be impossible, as we would all fall short.
    Have a blessed day,
    Ken

    1. Hi Ken,
I agree that everything Ray Comfort has done is great. I love his stuff.

I can't even imagine how many great works we would need to do! It isn't possible. It's like picking up a beautiful pure white ball with muddied hands, everything we do is tainted with sin only through the work of Jesus can what we do be transformed into pureness.

      Blessings brother,

  5. I always love to listen to and watch Ray. Grace not works that we might not make our boast in our works. Grace helps us to do righteousness as written in 1 John 3:7. Thanks for putting this on.

    1. Hi Ugochi,
Thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment. :)

I just love Ray's stuff and I try to use his method when I share the Gospel with those who don't know about Jesus.

I really thought this one presented the truth of the Gospel very clearly; great visuals.

      Blessings,

  6. I see all around me today that people don't get the gospel message, and I think that it is because they truly do not know the true and complete gospel message. This video brings to light that contrast of understanding and mis-understanding. How can anyone believe they can have salvation and willfully sin against the Savior ... no change. Ken's Post about the "take off the old man and put on the new man" points to the transformation or metamorphosis of being "born again" that is lacking. Great viseo. Thank you sister!

    1. Hi Brian,
I do believe that you are right in saying that people don't fully understand the Gospel message. I think we have left out the fact that we are sinners and we need a Savior. People just don't want to hear that or acknowledge that they are bad, so over time it has been less emphasized to now, in some churches, sinfulness of people has been eliminated.

I love the term metamorphosis for removing the old man and putting on the new. The word in itself perfectly describes what happens. Ken's post was a good one. :)

Blessings brother, thank you for commenting.
