Winter Is Not Over Yet

Proverbs 6:6 ESV

Go to the ant, O sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise.

We went from a very promising looking spring right back into the heart of winter.

It hailed then snowed and today it looks like we might just receive more. :)

I am not complaining, really, I wasn't ready for spring just yet. I love running in the snow, it is so refreshing and the air is so crisp. And to be honest here I just am not quite ready for all the work that is waiting for me outside. This year brought a lot of heavy, heavy snow that just sat on the branches, weighing them down and breaking off many of them. There are a lot of branches to pick up, put into piles and burn. Lazy, yes I believe I am being lazy. ;P But seriously, I really do love the snow!

Proverbs 6:9-11 ESV

How long will you lie there, O sluggard? When will you arise from your sleep? A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest, and poverty will come upon you like a robber, and want like an armed man.

Blessings,
<><

  1. Hi child of God,
have to say 'a wise man knows the time and the way'. There is a time for everything, including relaxing and enjoying eh? Your pics are lovely. Our temperature here in Wales went from freezing to about 11 degrees above, and everything in the garden has just decided to wake up. God bless.

    1. Hi Jennifer,
Yes you are my internet running friend. You are right, I feel a bit snugglish and sluggish when the weather is nasty outside especially when it rains. You are probably right here too, I will feel up to getting all that farm work done when the sun is shining but in the mean time, the SON is shining all the time!!! Praise GOD!

    1. Hi Lisa,
Yea, never a dull moment! 2 weeks ago the high went up to 23 C and today it is -1 C. LOVE the variety.

I'm glad to hear the idea of the eagle worked. We do this when the birds start smacking into the windows. It sure does reduce the numbers of dead and dying birds.

  5. Hi Child of God,
I haven't been in snow in so many years. Where I live sometimes I get to see some on the mountain tops around me. I tell my wife, if we moved to a cold region, I would die! Thank you for sharing this wonderful proverb with us. Sometimes I want to be lazy...
    Blessings,
    Ken
