Song of Solomon 2:1-2, 10-13 NIV
I am a rose of Sharon, a lily of the valleys.
Like a lily among thorns is my darling among the young women.
My beloved spoke and said to me,
“Arise, my darling,
my beautiful one, come with me. See! The winter is past;
the rains are over and gone. Flowers appear on the earth;
the season of singing has come,
the cooing of doves
is heard in our land.
The fig tree forms its early fruit;
the blossoming vines spread their fragrance.
Arise, come, my darling;
my beautiful one, come with me.”

the rains are over and gone. Flowers appear on the earth;
the season of singing has come,

is heard in our land.
The fig tree forms its early fruit;

Arise, come, my darling;
my beautiful one, come with me.”

Really? Did you barrel ride or something? Do tell!
ReplyDeleteHi Kaboom,
ReplyDeleteNo, I didn't barrel ride, I did something even better...I, before the RA hit, use to work with problem horses. A great joy for me was taking a horse that was abused and gaining their trust. Once this is accomplished you end up with an amazing horse that loves and is very dedicated.
I can still work with them but my wrists are weaker then before so it can be a bit on the dangerous side for me.
Blessings sweet one,
<><
Oh, what a great experience and a great reward! I'll be praying for your wrists then!!!
ReplyDeleteKaboom you are so sweet!! Thank you for your prayers I am sure they are a pleasant aroma to our Father.

ReplyDeleteThat rose cake is fabulous....I so couldn't make it either LOL

Sums
Hi Summer,
ReplyDeleteYES!! We have 12 horses and 25 cows and a whole bunch of baby calves on the way!
If I make this cake then for sure I will take a pic and post it, but be forwarned it won't look as pretty as this one. Hehehe.
This challenge is so much fun, thanks for thinking of it and hosting it. You are the best hostess ever!
In Him,

I love making & decorating cakes (except I usually make brownies in my cake pans since I don't like cake as much), but I've never seen a horse shaped pan like this one! It's super cool looking!
ReplyDeleteHi *Ross and Katy*,
ReplyDeleteCool! I bet your make the most beautiful looking cakes, ah brownie cakes! I found this pan in a dollar store and scooped it up as I love horses.
My cakes do not turn out looking as nice as this one but when the kids were small they didn't care, they just loved them.
Blessings,
<><
Loved your post today and was fascinated reading about the work you have done with horses. WoW...
ReplyDeleteGod Bless....
Hi Mary,
ReplyDeleteI sure do miss working with my horses but I am thinking this spring I will give it a go again and see if my wrists are strong enough to handle these wild horses. It is very rewarding working with abused animals and that also shows me how to work with abused people. God is so good as He teaches us many things if only we open our eyes to see and open our ears to hear His voice.
Blessings sister,
<><
12 horses? Wow! Do you just have them for fun, or are you going to try working with them?
ReplyDeleteHi Kaboom,
ReplyDeleteI was working with them but haven't for the last 6 years because of the RA, so now they are pets. Big ol puppy dogs that follow us around. The kids work with some of the them but I do have a handful that I won't let the kids near as you need a bit more experience than what they have.
Are you into barrel racing? Or just horses in general?
<><
Child of God, your life sounds so interesting with all those animals around. And the ones that visit from the wild!
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry to hear about the RA. I will pray for you too.
God bless you sister,
Vilisi
Hi Vilisi,
ReplyDeleteThe animals are a ton of fun and a ton of work. :) But we love it! Thank you for your prayers, it is because of prayer that I am 90% healed. God is healing me!!

I wish - we don't have any horses. Our next door neighbors do though, and they let us ride sometimes, and they let us help to train a new horse once.
ReplyDeleteHi Kaboom,
ReplyDeleteIt's funny, girls and horses! How nice that you have neighbours that let you ride their horses. That is almost as good as having one of your own. Have a wonderful Saturday and enjoy your sweet goats!
