Since January, my daughter has been in a real university and our lives as we knew it has forever changed. Because of the freedom offered by home schooling before, when we wanted to do something, we just picked up and went. Since we live 40 minutes from town, we are now up very early in the morning to make sure we can drive her to catch the 7 am bus that she takes to the university. She usually rolls in around 6:30 or 7 at night with my husband, then it is finish off the rest of her work and off to bed early. Before we use to be able to make it into town for Bible studies, prayer groups, music lessons and such but since January all of the 'during the week stuff' has stopped. But, this is reading week and she has a whole week off of school......so if Valentine's evening fell on Tuesday then the perfect evening for me would be for the whole family to get together with our Tuesday night prayer group and pray. I
love being around prayer warriors, a room filled with the Holy Spirit just lifts my spirit high. But since Valentine's is on Monday....maybe....maybe I can pretend V day is on Tuesday!! :)
Revelation 5:4-5
NIV
I wept and wept because no one was found
who was worthy to open the scroll or look inside.
Then one of the elders said to me,
“Do not weep! See, the Lion of the tribe of Judah,
the Root of David, has triumphed.
He is able to open the scroll and its seven seals.”
Philippians 1:8-11
NIV
God can testify how I long for all of you with the
affection of Christ Jesus. And this is my prayer:
that your love may abound more and more in knowledge
and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern
what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ,
filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ
—to the glory and praise of God.
Blessings,

I love that drawing! May you have a wonderful, BLESSED Valentines with your precious family!!!!
ReplyDeleteSince Saint Valentine's Day has lost it's original Roman Catholic church meaning from "the day is named after one or more early Christian martyrs, Saint Valentine, and was established by Pope Gelasius I in 500 AD. It was deleted from the Roman calendar of saints in 1969 by Pope Paul VI, but its religious observance is still permitted" to "The day first became associated with romantic love in the circle of Geoffrey Chaucer in the High Middle Ages, when the tradition of courtly love flourished", I see no reason why you or I couldn't move a special day to celebration of love a little. God is love ... everyday!
ReplyDelete- .
