I love the opening words to my favourite book, "In the beginning,..."
If you don't believe these very first words of Scripture, then how can you believe the whole book? We cannot go back in time to see how it all began, we need to believe this in faith. Even atheists must believe their theory in faith because they never saw the whole thing with their eyes either, Hebrews 11:1. It takes less faith to believe God's Word then it does to believe the theory of man. I guess that is why God tells us we only need faith the size of a mustard seed, Luke 17:6.
"...God created the heavens and the earth."

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. I find that the more that I investigate the Creation verses evolution debate, it isn't creation that the evolutionist question ... it is God (Sovereign Creator Lord Father) that they cannot and will not accept. Unbelievers cannot get past the very first line and look anywhere but for truth, yet there is the only truth to be found for life. This is where the light shines and the truth shall set you free!
ReplyDeleteHi Brian,
DeleteGreat point! I agree that evolutionist just won't grasp God and I believe it is a sin issue. They don't want to believe they are sinful and are in need of a Savior. Satan's biggest trick! Getting people to believe they are just fine and dandy just the way they are.
Yes, the Truth will set you free! Praise GOD!
Blessings brother, thank you for commenting.

In the beginning….He always was, always will be. The Living Word, here with us, from the beginning. AMEN!
ReplyDeleteHi Barbie,
DeleteIt is a very powerful verse and when I really think about the vastness of it, I get blown away.
Blessings, thanks for the visit.

Hi Lauren,
DeleteThank you. I love how God's Word cuts right into the deceptions I may have and reveals the real Truth.
Thank you for stopping by,

Like the way you put a powerful light on God's word. He starts out His book of truth by setting the foundation for the whole book. It takes faith to believe any word or all words in contains. Good post child of God.
ReplyDeleteHi Betty,
DeleteGod is the best Author around and I put all of my faith in the Words He has given us. God has said it, He has done it and will do it!
Thanks for visiting,

Amen! The history of the world as recorded in scripture was closer to the eye witnesses than any other document ever. Moses wasn't too many generations removed, if my memory serves me right, Adam was still alive when he was born.
ReplyDeleteHi Floyd,
DeleteYes, the recorded Word in Scripture is closer than any other eye witness document yet people still just don't believe it and call Christians fools. Well, that is spiritual warfare and even though we cannot see past the veil of this earth we know it is going on in a fierce way.
I wonder if you mean Moses and Abraham? From one site I found that Abraham died around 1840 BC and Moses was born around 1590 BC, so there was about 250 years between the death of Abraham and the birth of Moses. If that site is correct. http://wiki.answers.com/Q/How_many_years_are_between_Abraham_and_Moses?#slide=5
Blessings brother, thank you for the visit.

DeleteSunday is coming and He is risen indeed!

Hi child of God. If someone does not believe God created the heavens and the earth," then they feel as though they can live life to their choosing. It is only logical to assume that if there is a God, then one day you will have to answer to Him. As a result, people surpress the truth so their conscience does not bother them. Have a blesses Easter.
DeleteHi Ken,
DeleteThat is wonderful, simple logic. I love how you put it! Amen! How true, those who don't choose to believe in God think they can do as they please. But, how dangerously wrong they are.
Blessings brother...Sunday is coming and He is risen indeed!
