..."Today, if you hear His voice,
Do not harden your hearts."
God is speaking and asking us to listen to His voice and not harden our hearts. How do we keep our hearts agile? By exercising faith in obeying the word of God. To keep our physical heart fit we need to exercise it by daily activity, the same goes for our spiritual heart. If our practice is to ignore His voice then over time we will not be able to hear His voice and respond, we will become spiritually deaf. The rock hardened heart needs to be stretched and made supple, pliable in order to hear and respond to Him. Yes, a hard heart will protect us from hurt and pain but a supple heart will be a thriving, comforting place where warmth and love will pour out from; a perfect environment for the Holy Spirit to flourish.
Father, forgive me for hardening my heart. Make my heart supple and remove all that congests and hardens it, shrinking the essence of a healthy heart. Please work my heart so it is supple and responsive to Your voice, for Your voice is life and I desire to live for You. Thank you Jesus, amen.

Beautiful prayer, thank you and amen:)
ReplyDeleteI think we forget all too often that our hearts need to be used daily. Thank you for reminding us of this :)
ReplyDeleteHi:
ReplyDeleteIwP, Sara, Vilisi, Lon, Ma and R&K,
Thank you for reading. :) How many times do we hear Him calling but really don't like what we hear so we tune Him out. Not good for everytime I do this His voice becomes smaller and quieter. I want to hear His voice loud and clear so I guess that means answering the call even if I don't like what I hear.
Blessings,

Some of us need a spiritual heart transplant and that can only be done by the great Physician Himself.
ReplyDeleteGood Post :-)
Hi JBR,
ReplyDeleteYou are so sweet sending me blessings for the day, thank you.
Hi Ken,
It is amazing what the Lord will do when we are willing. I am seeing leaps and bounds in my own life and all because I say , 'yes Lord, Your will not mine."
Hi Ron,
I know of a few people that could use a spiritual heart transplant and I am praying for it. ;)
Blessings,
