I guess I took a break. :) I didn't really mean to, it is just life got pretty busy. Neither of my kids are doing school at the moment and so instead of being indoors and pretty much near a computer all of the time, I found myself outside doing the endless farm work that always comes during the spring time.

In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you?
As I was going through my emails I noticed a comment came in from JT, John Turner's last post on his blog John Threesixteen. It was a comment from a loyal prayer warrior named Karen saying she found an obituary for JT. Here is her original comment:

I wanted to let folks know it looks like JT went to be with the Lord in April last year. I found an obituary.

I'm still praying for his wife as he had asked us to do. We'll all give him a big hug when we join him in Heaven.

Please, let us keep on praying for JT's wife like he requested of us. I just cannot imagine how difficult this last year has been for her. I do know our Lord is faithful and He is protecting JT's wife and watching over her. JT was a great blogging friend. He loved the Lord Jesus fully and he shared his love for Him freely on his few blogs he held. I miss his interaction as I learned a lot from his gentle, kind spirit and the wisdom he shared.
1 Thessalonians 4:13-14 ESV
Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. 14For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.
Blessings,
<><
Thank you for your encouragement Child of God. I really appreciate it. God bless!
ReplyDeleteHi Karen,
DeleteThank you for your research! I am so glad you found out what happened to JT.
Blessings sister,

Praying for JT's wife and family. It's sad to lose the great ones, but He's done running this grueling race with the obstacles... He left for us a wonderful legacy and shoes to remind us that we need to fill them.
ReplyDeleteLife is busy, may your work and family be blessed. You were missed.
Hi Floyd,
DeleteThanks for your prayers for JT's wife. JT mentioned they had no children so she is pretty much alone. He sure did leave big shoes to fill but what a joy to work on filling them!
This is such a wonderful community of family here in blog world. I sure did miss you guys too!
Blessings brother,

I am saddened by this news...especially for John's wife.
ReplyDeleteBut I am glad that Karen found the obituary...I actually tried to do a search for one as well a few months ago.
I guess we all needed some closure, so that we could say goodbye for now to a sweet blogging friend.
Keeping his wife in my prayers.
I am looking forward to the day when we can all meet face to face.
Hi Lisa,
DeleteClosure is nice, but what a community of believers! Still praying for him and his wife even without news for so long and you and Karen going through the trouble of searching him out. Amazing love of God!
Blessings sister,

I'm sorry to hear this news. I will be praying for John's wife.
ReplyDeleteHi Barbie,
DeleteThank you for your prayers, you are a dear. :)
Blessings sister,

Thank you Child of God for this update, I visit JT's blog now and then praying and wondering, it is a blessing that he stayed faithful to Jesus, He sustains us through the valley of the shadow of death that JT had to go through. Praying for his wife and family, for her hopeful thoughts of one day seeing her hubby again. <3
ReplyDeleteHi Susan,
DeleteThank you for praying for JT's wife. I know he really appreciates it the fact that his brothers and sisters here on earth are interceding for his wife.
Blessings sister,

Hi child of God. This is sad, I remember his blog quite well. I lift his wife up to God in prayer.
