Our dear Chelle, Reformed Rebel, from Chelle's blog, has requested prayer for a heart condition that she has and has given me permission to post her request here.
...A week ago I went to the doc for my yearly check up and she told me my heart isn't beating correctly and she is sending me to a cardiologist. I think I have been living in denial since then. LOL For years I have had high blood pressure and at times my heart beats excessively fast...tachycardia. Now they are telling me that when it is beating normally it's not normal. Only beating every other time. Could have something to do with why I'm tired all the time. Anyway she doesn't like the way it sounds so August 3rd at 8:45 in the morning I am scheduled to see a cardiologist.
My dad has had 2 different bypass surgeries...my sister died of a massive heart attack and they finally revived her...my brother has had a couple of small heart attacks and strokes. So...I know that the Lord will take care of me but am still kind of nervous about all of this. Would you mind praying that everything will be good?...
Please join your heart with me in intercession for our dear blogger friend Chelle, asking God to heal her heart and set it to beating and preforming in the way it was made to work. Thanks!!
Jeremiah 17:14-18 NIV
Heal me, Lord, and I will be healed;
save me and I will be saved,
for you are the one I praise.
They keep saying to me,
“Where is the word of the Lord?
Let it now be fulfilled!”
I have not run away from being your shepherd;
you know I have not desired the day of despair.
What passes my lips is open before you.
Do not be a terror to me;
you are my refuge in the day of disaster.
Let my persecutors be put to shame,
but keep me from shame;
let them be terrified,
but keep me from terror.
Bring on them the day of disaster;
destroy them with double destruction.
Psalm 107: 19-20 NIV
Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble,
and he saved them from their distress.
He sent forth his word and healed them;
he rescued them from the grave.
Lifting you up friend!

When I read this tonight, I had to take a little break and ask God to give me wisdom and more faith before responding here. Three things happened tonight: first- Not yet knowing of her heart condition, I prayed for chelle ( & all my blogging friends) earlier this evening.
ReplyDeleteSecond- I left a comment on Chells blog three hours ago ( still not knowing about this heart condition), and third: something brought me back to your blog just now before logging off for the night. I believe God is working supernaturally in chelle's life right now, and I am so glad I found this out tonight so that I can join you in praying more specifically for her. I join you in praying for complete healing for her heart and for abundant faith which will chase away all fear. I pray for the Lord to use Chelle's faith as a testimony of the healing power of Jesus for her family and friends as well as the medical staff who work with her through this.
~In Jesus' Name~ Amen
Hi Lisa,
DeleteI just love how God alerts us to things and leads us to pray for someone even when we don't know why. Many times He will urge me to pray and I don't even know who I am praying for, I just pray. :) Thank you for sharing about how God was leading you, and how you believe God is working supernaturally in Chelle's life. That is amazing!!
Thanks for joining your heart in praying for complete healing,faith and for a testimony of healing for a witness to her family, friends and medical staff.
Praying and praying for our sister.

Dear Child of God,
ReplyDeleteI will include your friend Chelle in my prayers. I do understand her fears. When I have a full blown panic attack, the first conscience thing that I feel scared of is having a stroke or heart-attack. I smile at her blogging name "Reformed Rebel," because throughout different times in my life I have definitely behaved liked a rebel, but I'm so glad God is with me always, and day by day I am being reformed.
This Scripture is one of my favourites, I often sing them and feel calm and at peace "Heal me, Oh Lord, and I will be healed; save me and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise."
God bless you Child of God. May the week ahead bring you overflowing joy, as you lift up your heart and give honour and praise to our Lord and Saviour.
Love, Kerrie xoxo
Hi Kerrie,
DeleteThanks for covering Chelle in prayer. :) I agree that Chelle's blogger name is pretty neat. I remember when I first saw it a huge smile came to my face because I too am a Reformed Rebel.
Thank you for your blessing!
Blessings,

Father, we thank You that in becoming a believer in Your Son Jesus Christ Chelle has become a new creation and does not inherit all the sicknesses that may have been, and may still be,in her family. We thank You that she has access to all the promises to that new creation that You have made, and ask that you help her not to lean on her own understanding which is what is causing her fear. Father we ask in the name of Jesus, which is the name we as believers stand in, that You cause Chelle's heart to beat normally. We give You thanks Father in that powerful name of Your Son Jesus for the promise of healing us from all our diseases according to Your Word. Amen.
ReplyDeleteHi Brenda,
