More Praises

Summer has some very good news! This latest medicine seems to be working! Here is a list, taken right from Summer's blog, of the improvements.

Summer

Differences we are noticing:

1. I can walk down the steps a little longer without getting out of breathe.

2. I am able to get up  better from a sitting position. I still need a bit of help but not as much.

3. We were out to eat and the hubs noticed I can hold on to things a bit longer without dropping them.

4. Little Miss Kelcee has noticed my legs are getting a bit stronger. She said “mommy the medicine it’s working!! It’s working!!” She is the sweetest ever...now she thinks she is my personal trainer and the past few days she says mommy do this, mommy can you do this? It’s really cute!

5. I am not as in as much PAIN as I have been!! This is a biggie...I am not in as much PAIN! I am so excited about this one!

I know I still have a loooong way to go BUT these are changes we are already noticing....and although they may seem small to people who don’t know our story they are BIG BIG DIFFERENCES to us and that we thank GOD for so very much!! I know it is still early to tell what this medicine is going to do BUT I have very hi9gh hopes that this poison is my Remedy...and for that I am smiling so BIG!!

I am so happy for you Summer!! Pretty soon you will be running just like the girl in the picture! Always praying and praying for you girl, you have this one. :)

Father,

Thank you for having this medicine work on Summer. Please heal her the whole way. Allow her muscles to be strong so she can run with Kelcee and make it to the top of that hill she so wants to climb. Allow her to be able to crawl with Kelcee and walk and be pain free. You are so good but this has been a very rough road she has been on and it so so nice to see the end is in sight.

Praises are Due!

First praise:

Lisa had her surgery and is at home recovering!!! PRAISE GOD!!! I just received an email from her and she is very thankful for all those who have been praying for her. Her making it through this surgery is a miracle from God as her surgeon, up until Lisa went under, wanted to cancel the surgery but he felt compelled to go through with it. There were a few complications after the surgery and Lisa needed a blood transfusion and her lungs collapsed. She ended up with breathing difficulties and a lung infection but she is now home and on her way to recovery.

If you remember, Lisa was told there was a very good chance that she would not make it through this surgery but her quality of life was so poor that she chose to go through with it even through there were great risks. Please continue to pray for Lisa as she still needs to recover. Please also pray for her family as this must be very tough on her children.

Ian's, an ordinary mom scan from the MRI came back clear!! PRAISE GOD!!! His spine is clear! Please continue to pray as on Monday Ian will be getting a lumbar puncture/spinal tap to check the cerebral-spinal fluid for any cancer cells. Please pray this test comes back negative and the cancer has not metastasized.

Just a little note to show you all how many people are praying for Ian, there is a facebook prayer event set up and it is now at 29,107! If you have a facebook account maybe you might want to join in.

Prayer Request 17 Year Old Boy

Just a few days ago I saw a Twitter message from Rachel at Finding Joy asking for prayer for a 17 year old boy named Ian. Ali, Ian's mom has a blog called An ordinary mom. Ian has been diagnosed with medulloblastoma the same cancer that is afflicting Keegan and Lucy.

Please pray against medulloblastoma. Pray that the spinal tap and MRI show no cancer cells and no spreading of this tumor. The family needs prayers too as their van has just died and this mother of 8 is in need of reliable transportation. The youngest, baby Faith, is wheezing. If this continues then Ali who is nursing Faith, cannot take her with her when she visits Ian which will complicate the whole nursing schedule.

Ephesians 6:18 NIV

And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.

God does not give us a conquering life, but He gives us life as we rise above the situation. If you want your body to become strong you need to exercise it.  It is the strain of the exercise that strengthens the muscles. It is almost the same with your spirit. The more you exercise your spirit, first by reading God's word, then stepping out in faith in obedience to His word, the stronger your spirit will become. The difference between exercising your body and exercising your spirit is the body will become exhausted but the spirit will only become stronger and will never tire. 

When we stay in God's word and in the center of God's will then when trials and tribulation come He will provide all that we will need to overcome the situation. It is when we wander from His will that we will fall flat on our face. I know, I have fallen many times and I have found that it is not only safe in the center of His will but it is also very rewarding.

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Where is this hope and future? In heaven.  Christians are citizens of heaven not of this earth. When you give your life to Christ you give up the earthly way and take on God's way.

God will make a way when there seems like there is no way. Keep the faith, trust in Him and stay in the center of His will by reading and then obeying His word.

Prayer Chain for Summer

As most of you know I have been supporting Summer in prayer and this blog, along with Lisa, Emily and Milly, was started, with them in mind, by the urging of God.

Summer has been going through some very rough days as she has been coming down off of the prednisone and now the doctor's see the culprit disease is DM in a full out flare. There has been a decision made as to what drug Summer will be taking next. Please pray this drug works and sends DM into remission. Also pray that there are no adverse side affects.

Summer is such a sweet lady who loves God and her family. It is so hard to watch someone suffer but Summer does it with an upbeat attitude never feeling sorry for herself but always meeting the day with a smile on her face.

Sanctification

Luke 14:24-27 NIV

Large crowds were traveling with Jesus, and turning to them he said: “If anyone comes to me and does not hate father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters—yes, even their own life—such a person cannot be my disciple. And whoever does not carry their cross and follow me cannot be my disciple."

The above is a very hard word to take in and digest. What does it mean to hate father, mother, wife, children, brothers, sisters and your own life? I believe it has to do with sanctification and the first commandment; "love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind." Matthew 22:37 NIV

Sanctification
Dictionary.com defines sanctification as:

1. to make holy; set apart as sacred; consecrate.

2. to purify or free from sin: Sanctify your hearts.

3. to impart religious sanction to; render legitimate or binding: to sanctify a vow

Sanctification is Jesus in me not something He puts into me but the perfections of Jesus Christ are given to me, not slowly but instantly when in faith we believe that Jesus gives us holiness or sanctification. It is the point where nothing is more important than Jesus Christ Himself and where we give all of us over to Him and allow Him to let His perfection shine in us. It is when we say hate, and Jesus relates hate to murder so, in essence, we are murdering our number one ties to our father, mother, husband, wife, children and self. Where nothing but Jesus Christ is number one in our lives and this is the first commandment 

Matthew 22:37 NIV

"love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind." 
 
Then, through the gift of Jesus in us, we will be equally yoked with Jesus walking along beside Him bearing our cross in life.

John 14:15-21 NIV

“If you love me, keep my commands.  And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever—the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you. The impartation of the Holy qualities of Jesus Christ is His love, patience, holiness, faith and purity that is obvious in every sanctified soul. This is not taking from Jesus His power, but drawing from His power that is manifested in Him that He makes apparent in us. This is not an imitation of Jesus but Jesus in perfection in us. This is very wonderful news, knowing that the Holy Spirit living in us manifests in us the power of Jesus Christ if we keep His commands which Jesus tells us in

Matthew 22:37-39 NIV

Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ "

1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 NIV

May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it. 


Come to Jesus just as you are with all of your baggage and stuff. Believe He is God's Son given up for you and He will take you as is and change you into the person He created you to be. The Holy Spirit will come in and live in your heart and give you the qualities of Jesus.

Keegan and Lisa

UPDATE:

Keegan has lost the movement in his legs and lower extremities.  He is receiving large doses of prednisone to reduce swelling in hopes of his legs being able to move again. Continue to pray that this cancer is gone. Please pray for Beth as she is very stressed out and worried. 

Beth from Karing for Keegan has found out the cancer in Keegan has grown and the 3f8 trial study drug cannot be used on him and surgery is out of the option. Please hold this family in your prayers and ask God to intervene for a miracle.

This sweet family has been through so much, please head over to her blog and let her know you will be praying for Keegan. I just cannot imagine what feeling are going through her right now.

Please also remember to pray for Lisa. She is going to have her surgery this Friday July 29th. She sent me an email and I told her I would be praying. I am heading into a fast this week, if you feel led please join me in intercessing for our sweet sister Lisa and our beautiful baby brother Keegan.

Dear Holy God,
I stand before You a sinner who has been covered in the Blood of Your Son Jesus Christ. I come before You on bended knees and preparing to lie face down before You and Your Holy Throne to request Your mercy on Keegan, Lisa, Summer and all the other people You have given me to pray for. Father, You alone know the out come for Keegan. You alone can heal this precious child. You alone can heal my sisters and Your daughters Lisa and Summer. You alone can heal everyone, but I know You have bigger plans than I can see. You have a better work ahead and laid out so I beseech You, line me up with Your good and perfect will. Show me how to pray for the sick. Father, a miracle is needed and only You can provide this. In the name of Jesus Christ, I ask You LORD, please have mercy and heal them.

Train Ride Through Life

Yesterday was a very interesting day for me. My family and I woke early so we could make a 2 1/2 hr drive north to catch a train. Not just any train but a ‘children’s wish foundation’ train ride. This is something my husband has wanted to do his whole life but never had the opportunity to do so until yesterday. With the money going towards such a good cause how could we refuse?

We had invited a couple that we knew and them and their two boys met up at the train station for a fascinating ride. Now I, being a pretty active person, was fussing inside wondering how I was going to survive hours and hours of sitting down on a train and then bus being bored out of my mind. God, through, had other plans! 

The couple we traveled with are friends that I haven't had much contact with for over 3 years and before that it was very sporadic, chit chat during the hour our kids did Taekwondo together. Darling, name changed, and I started talking and as it turned out we talked from the moment we sat down on the train til the moment we got off the bus back at our starting destination. 

Darling is not a Christian but a non practicing Jew by birth. She is sweet, vivacious and eager to learn new things and would give the shirt off of her back if she saw that you were cold and in need. I knew from other friends that Darling was attending a woman's Bible study so I thought I would ask her how it was going. That was a question that led into witnessing about Jesus and the end times that we are now living in. I thought it was pretty neat how God set this whole thing up on a moving train. Made me think about how we move through life twisting and turning going through tunnels and climbing mountains. Riding along either letting life and opportunities pass us or observe, learn and grow. 

As I started witnessing to Darling about Jesus being the Messiah and telling her about all the weird things happening in this world, I could see a spark develop and grow right before my very eyes. The opening up of a Jewish gem, a deep knowing inside of her that what I was telling her was truth. I watched her spirit come alive and a deep thirst for Jesus and the Truth, grow. I am amazed at how God works, you see I didn't want to go on this train ride and almost missed it but because of my son's persistence in me coming along, I went. If I had stayed home Darling and I wouldn't have had this talk. We parted ways with her wanting to find a Bible study about Biblical prophecy and finding her true roots in Jesus Christ.

Praise God! How He works astounds me time and time again. If we are just willing to be free and talk openly and honestly about Jesus, we will be surprised to see how the Holy Spirit works. I am praying for Darling and her husband Gazelle. You see Gazelle is not a believer but a hard shell man who I noticed was listening in on our conversation with eager ears. I can see his shell cracking and I know the Holy Spirit is moving in.

Step out and speak freely about Jesus and embrace the opportunities that are set before you even if they seem dull and boring I guarantee you will not be disappointed that you did.

Timothy 6 11:16 NIV

But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness. Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses. Jesus Prays for His Disciples

My mind is blank! I have nothing to say so I figure God has nothing for me right now. That's fine with me. :) Praying for all of my followers and some that are not following.

Thank You & Update

I want to thank all of you for praying for Shinzou Takara. He has food poisoning and will be at the vets for at least one or two more days receiving IV antibiotics and fluids. Hope is that his bowels have not been damaged but he is a very strong dog and our God is so good, I trust Him.

Pray for Shinzou Takara

I have a different request today, prayer for my dog Shinzou Takara. Yesterday he was listless and by last night he was hot, not eating or drinking. Since he has an ongoing issue with kidney infection, we gave him some antibiotics and waited to see how he was doing this morning. This morning he is the same as last night so my hubby brought him into the vet. I have a funny suspicion that he has poisoning either from some bad meat he ate or the neighbours poison set out for coyotes. He is a loved family member and it is very sad to see him suffering so much.

There is a story behind his name, Shinzou Takara which means God's gift, treasure. It is a Japanese name given to him because he is a Japanese Akita. My husband really wanted an Akita for as long as we have been married, since he had one as a kid, but we always got our dogs from the humane society as I couldn't see buying a dog when there are so many without homes. Seven years ago my husband said to me there were Akita pups for sale and he wanted to pick one up. Usually you have to be on a list for over a year to get one of these pups, so our family got together and prayed asking God if it was His will for us to get a pup then  please let everything work out. A phone call was made and the breeder told us that there were two pups from the litter for sale as the people wanting these pups just back out. We made the 3 hr drive out to the farm saw Shinzou and fell in love. We brought him home and again prayed asking God for a name and came up with Shinzou Takara and this name over the years has lengthen to Shinzou Takara rawhide pee a paw pawsy papa pup.

What Time Is It?

The LORD will grant you abundant prosperity—in the fruit of your womb, the young of your livestock and the crops of your ground—in the land he swore to your ancestors to give you.

The LORD will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none. The LORD will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the LORD your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom.

Let's always remember to pray for our nation and the nation of Israel, for God has promised those who bless my people I will bless.
