Deuteronomy 33:12 NIV
“Let the beloved of the LORD rest secure in him,
for he shields him all day long,
and the one the LORD loves rests between his shoulders.”
for he shields him all day long,
and the one the LORD loves rests between his shoulders.”
Ephesians 2:8-10 NIV
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
Isaiah 54:4-8 NIV
“Do not be afraid; you will not be put to shame.
Do not fear disgrace; you will not be humiliated.
You will forget the shame of your youth
and remember no more the reproach of your widowhood.
For your Maker is your husband—
the LORD Almighty is his name—
the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer;
he is called the God of all the earth.
The LORD will call you back
as if you were a wife deserted and distressed in spirit—
a wife who married young,
only to be rejected,” says your God.
“For a brief moment I abandoned you,
but with deep compassion I will bring you back.
In a surge of anger
I hid my face from you for a moment,
but with everlasting kindness
I will have compassion on you,”
says the LORD your Redeemer.
Do not fear disgrace; you will not be humiliated.
You will forget the shame of your youth
and remember no more the reproach of your widowhood.
For your Maker is your husband—
the LORD Almighty is his name—
the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer;
he is called the God of all the earth.
The LORD will call you back
as if you were a wife deserted and distressed in spirit—
a wife who married young,
only to be rejected,” says your God.
“For a brief moment I abandoned you,
but with deep compassion I will bring you back.
In a surge of anger
I hid my face from you for a moment,
but with everlasting kindness
I will have compassion on you,”
says the LORD your Redeemer.

This passage in Isaiah speaks volumes- "You will forget the shame of your youth".. I was just commenting to my husband today about how many women (especially) have been either abused or abandoned when they were little & just can't seem to heal.
ReplyDeleteP.S This is the first comment on your blog google didn't eat up!

I have never seen that verse in Deuteronomy before...WOW....I love it...I can literally feel it soothing my mind and heart and putting me at peace ~ it makes me feel like I am on His shoulders. Oh, the wonderful power of the Word of God! I just saw the update on Keegan...bless his little heart...in my prayers. I love this post ~ it was just the perfect amount of spiritual refreshment I needed tonight ~ this video is AWESOME, I have never heard the song or the songwriter before!! Thank you, again, for all your love, prayers and support...you have truly shown me what having a sister in the Lord is all about!! lv alice
ReplyDeleteThank you so very much my sister in Christ!!!
ReplyDeleteYour prayers and continuation of praying for me is greatly appreciated, and I have missed your Christian fellowship immensely!!!
I just want to add something else here, for those that want to know a miraculous prayer warrior, Child of God, is indeed one of God's warriors!!!
Hi Alice,
ReplyDeleteIt is a cool verse! Makes me feel good too. :)
I haven't had an update on Keegan so I have no idea how he is doing.
This is a cool song. I have heard it many times before but I have never seen the music video. Love it! My son said he is going to learn this one on the guitar! I love music in the house.
If we all reached out in the way we are told to every single person would feel the love of Jesus. It's cool, eh?
Hugs!!
Hi Lon,
You honour me way too much. Christians are told to pray without ceasing, so I am only do as my Father does, or at least I try to. I fail so many, many times, but He always helps me rise to my feet again, and He can help you rise to your feet. Brush yourself off, repent and keep walking towards the lover of our soul, Jesus Christ.
It is great having you back. Stay with Him for I truly believe He will be returning soon.
Blessings in Christ,
<><
Amen. Have a wonderful day tomorrow! I'm jumping for joy inside.

Ephesians 2:8-10 is one of my favorite passages in the Bible. Praise God for His amazing grace and we don't have to work our way to heaven! If only religious folk could understand that simple truth before it's to late.
ReplyDeleteGod bless and have a great week :-)
~Ron
Hi Ron,
ReplyDeleteI so agree with you on the religious folk aspect. If only their eyes and ears would be opened. It reminds me of the Narnia books, by C.S. Lewis, 'The Last Battle' and the dwarfs are sitting at the dinner table waiting to be served and Aslan has a feast right in front of them and they don't see it or even smell it so they don't take part of it. So sad.
God's blessing on you Ron,
<><
